    Question: 1962 engine 327ci

That 3782870 block was used across most models back then. It looks like you are headed in the right direction. If you find details on the COPO I would be interested in what it is. Tom

    Question: 1962 engine 327ci

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center. The only RJ I can find is in the NCRS Lime Book. In this case it is a 1957 283 4 bbl in a 7000 series truck which doesn't match the rest of your information. It isn't uncommon for GM to re-use stamping codes in later years. Your 327 block casting number is...

    tires

If I remember right, Chevrolet says 45 degrees. I found where some say 40. Also found that some have driven them down to 30 degrees F in an emergency but used lower speeds and care. Tom

    Ride Height

1/8' is within tolerance and it would be hard to correct for that small amount. Do a visual inspection of the body mount cushions. I had one lower half by the rear wheel on my wife's 81 deteriorate when it was only about 10 years old. All of the rest looked new. Today, that one and all of the...

    Ride Height

I suspect that you might be looking at the wrong end of the car. If the right front spring is lower, loaded, then the left rear will be higher. Since changing the load on the left rear spring bolt didn't affect the measurements any, I'd look to the front. Check for anything obvious first like...

    1965 FI instrument cluster codes

I'm pretty sure they are assembly line codes so the workers could grab the right part. The one tag seems to show the combination of gauges used with the FI engine. You may be able to find these numbers and codes on the page of the factory assembly manual that covers this area of assembly for the...

What's the Deal with Flimsy Timing Chain Covers?

Everything is getting cheaper these days. Thinner steel for these stampings is one of them. I don't have any experience with tins off of crate motors but if it's that flimsy, I'd find an old original. I see lots of new aftermarket ones on Ebay and elsewhere but, without holding one in your...

Question: 1966 Corvette parking light / turn signal problem

Well, if it works, it works. You wouldn't have thought that you would have to do that. Odd things happen sometimes in the wiring.

    For Sale 1963 327-300HP 4 Speed Engine

I agree that it can be sleeved and you would probably never have an issue with it. This would be a good engine for someone that is in need of a correct engine and isn't too hung up on the vin derivative on the stamp pad not matching. 327s are getting hard to find, especially real Corvette...
