You can try a product called steel seal. I've never used it but its supposed to be a permanent fix compared to other related products.

    Fuel injection?

I actually found a very interesting article on google about an ls swap and this guy was able to do it for under $2000. I'm assuming thats minus the motor lol. I also read that people cut a hole in their firewall for the computer but I saw a youtube video where this guy mounted it on the left...

    Fuel injection?

Hey everyone. I was wondering how difficult it was to install a fuel injection motor and setup out of a C5. Is it essentially just the ecm, wiring harness, and drive shaft?

Can you take a picture of what your referring to. Is it the tube that attaches to the intake manifold?

Sweet ride! Your one hell of a son! Just in case you don't know the regular part vendors, the top sites that come to mind are http://www.zip-corvette.com/GroupDetails/GroupLanding1.aspx?gid={6702fd06-3c4e-4e43-9219-237622abe46f}&SearchType=_GROUP_SEARCH&GroupName=68-82& ...

    Question: Parking Brake

Just wanted to add that if the cables are original, they can stretch over the decades and you wont get the full function. Obviously they wont stretch like rubber but every bit counts.

    Cooling fan

This may be a stupid question but, is the fan clutch inside the water pump or is it external? My guess is inside the pump. Also, what do you guys think about this fan I found on summit? Its made with nylon and its a solid unit.

    Cooling fan

Well I checked out the usual vendors and a new fan goes for around $100. I also checked summit and besides the summit brand fan, the rest are the "flex-light" models that look like mine. Does anyone have a suggestion for a reliable replacement fan? Is my only option to pay the $100 for a stock...

    Cooling fan

I wasn't aware this isn't a stock fan. It was on the motor when I got it so it must of been replaced by the previous owner.

    Help! Big Big problem!

Good to hear, it can be strenuous at times to fix your mistakes but you always learn from it. I've had to fix my own many times lol.

    Help! Big Big problem!

You might be missing a clip somewhere. Check the drivers side and compare the mechanism. It also could just need to be lubed up. Spray some in there and work the mechanism with your hand.

    Cooling fan

I finished the intake manifold install today so while I'm waiting for my other parts to arrive, I removed the old water pump in preparation for the new one and cleaned up the cooling fan. I pretty much just used what was laying around in the garage and it actually turned into a fun project. I...

    Question: Gellcoat and primer color

I don't believe 81's had a gel coat and the primer was brown. You can try the razor blade technique to remove the old paint. There's a video on youtube that shows how to do it. How were you going to strip the paint?
