Just wondering, if an original alarm system wasn't hooked up or if there's a short somewhere in the wiring, will it prevent the car from starting? or is that too advance for these cars?
As far as I know you can only buy repo's. If you want a more modern style switch then you'll have to be a little creative and find one from a different vehicle or ebay and retro fit it. If you go this route keep us updated. I'm interested in this myself. If you want the repo's you can check out...
i parked your car before!!!!!^^^^^^^^ lol. I remember you brought it to the dealer in Irvine probably half a year ago, maybe longer. I use to work there and i snapped a couple of photo's if you'd like to have them :beer. What a small world :chuckle
you could always try to find a shop that will "look the other way" lol. Thats what im resulting too. i'm not exactly sure how you would bring that up in conversation but its worth a shot. IMO $120 is worth keeping your car the way you want it :beer
Thanks! This really helps. I was thinking of keeping the basic setup but after reading hours of other threads i determined the q-jet has un-limitless potential if tuned correctly. Reputable members on here helped sway my decision by repeatedly saying the q-jets are better than any holly. I'm a...
Hey everyone, its been over a year since ive been on here so i'd like to cordially say howdy and how i missed you all ever so much and all your wealth of knowledge :beer, cheers. Well I'll get to my first question already haha. The P.O. had a basic fuel setup with a Holly carb and i'm trying the...
you can get almost anything but the parts wont be as powerful as others. just do your research and make sure everything is C.A.R.B. approved. First thing should be exhaust, give a exhaust shop a call and ask them what the restrictions are and if you can do a dual cat setup.
i dont think there enough clearance for a plasma cutter without damaging the frame. yes you have to cut both sides of the T/A, theres no way around it. wear gloves too, your nuckles will thank you. I think it took me like 3-4 hours of just sitting there and cutting. i went through the hardend...
haha ya it took hours for me too. I had to get 6 of the cryogenically treated sawzall blades from home depot and had at it. those bolt metal sleeves kill blades because there hardend steel and it's your only option really. patience is advertue, calm music is what kept me sane. everyone thats...
i cant get my new fuel pump on for the life of me. the face plate is just like the old one so there should be no reason it wont mate up. what the hell is the secret to getting it attached? its mechanical pump and that lever just wont give me enough clearance to get the bolt caught. ;help
ya the left side T/A wasnt even reuseable so i ordered a new one. The other side looked good though so i'm just going to overhaul it. There were alot of saftey issues that needed to be addressed on the suspension. I didnt find most of them untill the rear end was apart.
