BTW i did some research into this because i'm kinda on the same boat and i found out that you have two routes to go. 1.) All of the original Emissions equipment needs to be installed on YOUR particular car and thats it 2.) If you dont want to go stock you can purchase parts that are california...
if your changing the gasket and if you have a ball-pien hammer i would hit each bolt hole on the pan with the ball so the holes are slightly curved. It makes it so when you tighten the pan back up you have a solid seal, sometimes people make the mistake of overtightining and it can prevent the...

i have an 81 automatic and the original was a TH400 but it was shot so the P.O. threw in a fresh rebuilt TH350 so i've counted the spline before when i threw it in and 27 does sound about right, was just double checking. about the deffernt yokes, were some longer than others?
i was looking at a yoke on ebay for a t350 and it said it had a 27 spline, so do all t350's have 27 spline? not a tranny guy so all info is appreciated
Do all T350 trannys have the same spline or can they be different? i'm asking because my car is in mass and i'm currently in cali for school so i cant go and check out what spline is on the tranny.
Thanks

i would first look at the bushings and if neccesary replace all of them, i believe i saw a complete front too rear kit for around $350 on ecklers. I would grab a set of shocks from your local sears auto store or any major parts store otherwise you'll be paying an arm and leg for "performance"...
