    a corvette winter

You are right in that you can screw up the paint if you are not careful. It all depends on the type of buffer you have, the type of product you are using, and not holding the buffer in one spot letting it build up heat. If you are interested I'll show you were i got mine from. I really like it...

    a corvette winter

John, when you move into that new house you will be shopping for a buffer to keep that ride looking good. It is nice to have the vette where you can play with it when you get ready. I spent one rainy day claying the front. The road dirt had really done a job on the paint:ugh. :w H.D.

DO OTHER CARS FOLLOW YOU ON THE HI-WAY ?

Yea...but you got to admit, instigating :naughty: the ricers is fun. Especially when you are the instigater and they end up getting the ticket:D. I like using them as bait. Now you tell me how many cops are not going to notice this as it is hauling a** down the highway:L. Something like...

DO OTHER CARS FOLLOW YOU ON THE HI-WAY ?

I noticed that too. I think their reasoning is to let you get the speeding ticket:ugh . What I do is find some kid with a Ricer. You know the ones with the big fart can hanging out the back of the car and the stickers plastered all over the car. Then you start playing with them and let'em get...

    Finally under construction

Congrats on the new pad John. Now you don't have to worry about permits, inspections, contractors, more inspections, other contractors, did I say inspections:W? :w H.D.

Stories of the Strange but True

Maybe that is the Corvette SS concept car. However, I'm agree with Pseudomind on this one. Hide the pic so GM doesn't get any ideas. :w H.D.

Daytona 500 Corvette Z06 Pace Car - Detroit News Pictures

May be I've done to much dope in my time........ ..but I like it. One thing for sure, if they produce this car I would hate to be the one who later had to do a paint job on it. Not to mention a real cop magnet. I'd still take it though and give it a good home:lou. :pat H.D.

    ordered new garage this weekend

Thanks for the fishing invite John. I did purchase a state fishing lic last year from the Wal-Mart at Sturbridge. Since I am in the military stationed up here I was able to get an in state permit. The guy in the sporting dept at Wally World told me about the Quabbin reservoir. So I went up the...

    ordered new garage this weekend

I work in Natick. Do the commuter thing. There is no way I wanted to live that close to the big city (Boston). When I found out I was coming up here I looked around for a place in the country. Landed on the apartment complex in Leicester and liked the place and a great land lord to boot. I do...

    ordered new garage this weekend

Mine is on a 4" slab with 16" foundation. But I did use re-bar under it and did the fibermesh stuff. I hope it holds up since it is sitting on sand. We packed the dickens out of it before the crete was poured. I live close to the water and like you have to worry about the hurricanes and the...

    ordered new garage this weekend

Mine is a 40x30 (1200 sq ft). I found this building in the local newspaper and bought it for $3500.00. The guy who sold it to me got all flustered when he found out what it was going to cost him to put it up. It was still on the pallets. When you buy these buildings they don't tell you what...

    ordered new garage this weekend

800 sq feet isn't too bad. mine is 1200 and it too is 15 ft at the top. Mine is still a work in progress. Got the BIg door up last week. Next on the list is the apron and elec. :w H.D.

    C5 Superchargers

I would have loved to have been able to buy a '67, '68, or '69 fastback. 390 CIds where nice engines and you could do a lot with them to get power. I would have loved to have seen what kind of ponies you could make with F/I on a 390. My folks didn't have the money to buy me one. My first car was...

    C5 Superchargers

Norm, you are right about that. It never ends and each well has a bottom. If you know what I mean. I have a '99 rustang Gt, '86 vette, '02 vette, '03 Dodge 3500 with the Cummins. Just got through spending ~$20 k on a new building to put all of it in (big toy box). Since i have way too many...

    C5 Superchargers

My concerns as well and yes I have been considering having the work done. But I am still researching the pros and cons. When i was in the Navy I worked on jet engines. But we had the right tools, equipment, and manuals to do the work with. In addtion if we ran into a snag we had tech reps who we...

    C5 Superchargers

Yep. Read that too. The other problems I've heard is that they love to eat belts. ProCharger claims that is because the pulley hasn't been aligned properly. I think ECS uses a laser to align the pulleys. ECS and Andy out on the west cost have come up with their own brackets for the...
