High grade leather is a must, minimal but upgraded plastic, brused aluminum is ok, as I stated before I'm a woodgrain type of guy so I feel it should be an option. Leave the vinyl for the low buget or the old school rides. I also think they should offer two tone variations like the Vette...
I agree that chrome looks better than the satin finish but I don't like rims with studs and I like a fatter spoke because I really don't like seeing all the interiors of the brakes and calipers and all that. Don't get me wrong the C5 2000 wheel looks nice but a fatter spoke not like the 97 but a...
You have to make sure the post that attach to the roof are sitting square on the little cups provided on the floor, then as the roof panel lays against the back end attach the latches and slightly lift up on the panel to secure it to the latches.
IMHO Pontiac has always had cheesy interiors so I really hope this isn't the case with the C6. Pontiacs have been know to have more plastic than fischer price. :nono
I'm of that same persuasion "Drive It Until The Wheels Fall Off" although I'll never let that happen. It is my daily driver and we have been haveing some wonderful weather here in Seattle which is a switch. Top off everyday change that oil regularly and keep it movin'!:Steer Bought it 2yrs ago...
My plan is to wait and see what it looks like and if it grabs me wait a few years and get a top notch used one. Never again will I get bopped over the head buying brand new cars.
The Thunderbird was never meant to be made past the 2005 production date and it was the greed of the dealers that forced the lack luster sales.Ford would have you believe low sales was a contributing factor but in only sealed the inevitable. I agree that the C6 should set a new bench mark and I...
We aren't that far apart, I'm in no way comparing performace I was just saying the interior could be beefed up to even half that and still keep the price points down I don't believe there's 20 to 25k worth of interior work in a Jag so a polished interior in a Vette is attainable if they reach...
There again I say the preformance and handling is going to be there because that's what Corvette is all about but you can still have that cockpit flavor with a little less plastic and upgraded leather thus satifying the bulk of the people because as you know you can't please everyone. Just look...
Still you must realize that it's two different markets and the DIE HARDS will know the TRUTH and the truth shall set you free to release the Jedi Power:r that only the Force of 50 years of hertiage:pat can bring! Then we will be able to stand tall and ask,"Caddy Whose Your Daddy?":Buttslap
If Lexus and all those other companies can have nice interiors in that same price range then I know GM can upgrade at least to where they use to be at a reasonable cost without increasing price.
Dri-Wash
I use this stuff all the time on all my cars it's incredible! Start panel by panel wax on wax off. Use two different towels one to apply the dri-wash to a light haze and a seperate towel to buff the haze off. It literally dissolves the dirt without scratching the paint and puts a high...
I agree with the pre-owned method also that's why I'm in no big hurry to release my C5 just yet. I'll wait until 08 and get an 06 or 07 after they work all the kinks out from the 05 and pay a lot less for it. My New Car addiction ended in 96!:bash because I just don't want to get bopped over the...
I agree but when I say rad I mean it was changed to the degree that it has a totally improved look just as the C1 even though the general design was simular it was a radical change in apperance. I believe you have to keep some protions of the heritage to maintain the rich tradition that 50 years...
I would have to say the C5 was a rad styling change from the C4 because Personally I would have never bought a C4. It was the C5 that tickled my fancy to put money on one. Don't get me wrong I have always been a Corvette Fan but the C5 was the one that excited me enough to want it besides the...
