Personal Prediction For C6

Dave Hill stated the C6 will be produced for 6 or 7 years.
:w

When did Hill say this? There have been suggestions that the new body and aluminum frame capabilities would make the C6 only a two year run. If Hill has "committed" to a 6-7 year run, he may be telling us that these under-the-skin changes will be executed during the C6 run with little or no outer changes to the design.

He said this to 100-200 people in the auditorium at the NCM in BG at the CF Cruise-In.....and repeated it to me and others when he hung out with us outside the Hotel we/he was staying in.

Under the skin changes make sense.

This is great news and should get more play. If the Al HFRails are introduced in two years as suggested, it should generate a renewed C6 frenzy at that time.

The 'Aluminum Frame' question was asked to Dave during the Talk/Presentation he have in the Auditorium at the NCM...he smiled, held the microphone up, said 'We're not talking about that', then lowered the mic and just stood there smiling as he waited for the next question. The crowd got a good chuckle outta that moment.

More good news to me. If he smiled about Al frame - it must still be coming. Maybe with the introduction of the C6 Z06?

Don't ever expect rad styling changes from GM
I would have to say the C5 was a rad styling change from the C4 because Personally I would have never bought a C4. It was the C5 that tickled my fancy to put money on one. Don't get me wrong I have always been a Corvette Fan but the C5 was the one that excited me enough to want it besides the classics that it is.

Certainly you must agree that the C5 body design was an evolutionary design from the C4. The front is a lower and smoother flowing of the C4. The side vent is straight from a late 70s C3. The back is a wind tunnel changed C4 with central exhausts and the required muffler vents.

Do not misunderstand me. I think the C5 is a great looking car. But the only radical design element was the "big butt" look. The rest of the car came from the rich Corvette heritage.

I agree but when I say rad I mean it was changed to the degree that it has a totally improved look just as the C1 even though the general design was simular it was a radical change in apperance. I believe you have to keep some protions of the heritage to maintain the rich tradition that 50 years has afforded Corvette. You should always see characteristic of yourself in your offspring!

I agree. I think the C6 will carry alot of visual charateristics from its great and great, great grand parents, but only the bonestructure from its Ole' Man.
