C3R Chevrolet Corvette Stingray project in the works

You are right about that part for sure !! But I do like the appearance of this concept. I always liked the "FIA" style headlight covers much more than the pop-up C3 style lights. Maybe those could be incorporated into this design. No modern "C3R" design would have pop up lights.

    Can you indenify these rims?

There were dozens of wheels with this style in the 70's. Most likely they are American Racing because of the 5-tab type of centercap secured with the set screws. But so many companies copied American that they could easily be Rocket, or Cyclone, or US, or Ansen, too. Real Americans will have...

You're right it is a great site too. The AIR cars looked better on the outside when built but never were as fast as the DX cars. I could talk about this for hours. I love Chevy racing history. Keep the links coming anytime.

Thanks so much for posting that article. I remember reading it before ,but completely forgot about it. I never saw that "67 car in person at the dealership. The first pro race I ever saw in person was Sebring in 1968. I saw the 2 1968 Sunray cars there and got to sit in one of them. The 67 car...

Thanks again for the interest....No I never was smart enough to get a Yenko car. But I had some Yenko parts . I grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Pitt. Many times as a kid I visited the Yenko dealership in the glory days. Don Yenko was often there after race weekends and that was when my...

Thanks for the welcome.......I like this forum already. And I hope I can contribute to it soon. I hope another Vette is in my future.....or at least a Camaro SS. I've also been fortunate to have a few of them. If I list my former Vette's we'll both start to cry....only a couple of them were...

    Scale Callaway's

I wish I had remotely the talent you do with these diecasts. You're putting a hurt on AutoArt ....and you've already passed the Action Models Vettes. I would love models of the European FIA GT-1 cars and the GT-3 ZO6R's. The Euro entered FIA cars seem to have the more creative paintjobs. I love...

    Coolest Corvette Ever!

Very nice....most of the early Vettes in SoFla are too modified to have any dignity. I'm generalizing.
