    great way to start vacation

Sorry about that guy. Look at the bright side, I hope he had insurance. Looks like he took a Connecticut Left. Those lefts are the ones that we take so that we do not have to step on the brake.

    Daily driver question re: cleaning...

So really the only difference between us is I choose to use a hose instead of a detailler spray. Different strokes, thats all. I also figured that the bra would get dirty, but with the dark color on my car it wouldn't look too stupid. Mike

    Daily driver question re: cleaning...

I've never seen a red vette dirty. The navy blue shows the dirt, pollen and bugs so well as to make it look dirty after a very short time. With the number of bug strikes I get after driving mine for more than an hour, am thinking of getting it a bra. The only bugs that fly that low are only...

    Daily driver question re: cleaning...

I wash my sunny day driver once a week, by hand. I don't use the high pressure hoses as that the seals between the top and the windows aren't that good. Most of my effort is to remove the bug strikes as that I cover my car both in my garage and at work to reduce the possibility of bird stuff...

    Z06 vs Convertable

The vert I own is more car than I have ever owned or driven. Honestly, I have considered periodically to upgrade the intake and exhaust, but I haven't reached the limits of the car's capabilities yet. The Z is quick, but understand, the vert is quick too. The only down side that I've found so...

Do I need a second one?

You expect excellent condition. Honestly C3's at that price should have matching numbers and all rubber, carpet and paint in good condition. Can you ever have too much of a good thing, Barb ?.

    Gas in Oil

Honestly, the only time I've heard of that is when GM used a mechanical fuel pump that was attached to the engine. The first thing I would do is go back to the mechanic and ask him how come he feels there is gas is in your oil. You do need to find this out. The gas only comes into direct contact...

    convert vs ht/frc

I own a y2k vert. I love it. What else is there to say. There is a lot that I will have difficulty in participating in such as the 150 club and track time will be limited. But there is nothing like tooling down the highway with the top down with the wind blowing through whats left of my hair...

    I'm a test pilot!

I only have one question, are they also run flats. If so, how is their wet and cornering traction ? Glad you like them, keep us posted.

How can I become more stealthy

Of course you know how to double the value of a Yugo..... Fill it up with gas

How can I become more stealthy

We've all used the technique of getting behind buses and trucks and those are valid. I used that a lot on the Jersey turnpike. Steathy driving techniques also is how we blend in to traffic. Lets face it in CT everyone speeds. The problem is that the officers don't have enough tickets. How we...

    1/18 scale diecasts

I'm looking for a Y2K vert kit. If necessary, will go with Die cast but would dearly love a complex kit

How can I become more stealthy

With the reflectivity being the issue, lets say that I Zaino the entire car. The only way that a laser will reflect back to the transmitter is if the officer is extremely lucky or I have my lights on. Does this extend the laser detector's potential of determing that I am being lased and for me...

How can I become more stealthy

In my state we are supposed to put a front license plate on. I haven't on the vette, nor on my Eagle Vision. However the original reason for me asking the question was that I was nailed in the Vision for 78 in a 65. My problem was that I was laz'ed and if you are not familiar with the Vision is...
