The clay bar is rubbed over the surface of the paint with a detailer spray used as a lubricant. The directions are on the box. You can buy the clay in an auto parts store, it is in the wax section.

BigRed, Depending on the finish, wash it and wait 60 before you wax a repainted car. If there is still some crud on the finish as evidenced by the paint feeling anything but baby butt smooth, try using a clay bar. It will remove all surface imperfections. Follow up with any good quality...

I am considering getting Koni Sport adjustables all around on my 1996 CE. I would like a better ride during daily driving yet still want to be competitive in SCCA Solo II. These seem like the best choice and value out there. Has anyone used these and what has been your experience? Pros/Cons.

Nathan, In my instance, cold means less than 40F ambient temp. I use only Mobile 1 10W-30 and often my car will sit for a week before I drive it. However, it is only on the cold mornings that I hear this sound.
