I just had the seats in my '78 completely redone. They leaned back so far the previous owner had to put wood blocks under the backs to keep them upright. It took the auto interior place a ton a time to reweld everything and reinforce everything. Then new foam, then new covers. Then a bill for...

I put in a pint of TF and drove her home (without seats - El Chicano). I parked her on some cardboard - to sop up any gravy. So far not a drop. Go figure.

I plan to do the same thing this spring. When I took it to the drag strip last summer I noticed much faster times when it was allowed to breathe. My only decision is whether I will get the open sides with the chrome top model or the open sides and open top model.

When I take it out of storage, I will check the spring and see how many leaves it has.
