Horrible...we all need to stay safe out there. People need to stay off their phones and concentrate on staying alive. Two way traffic, single lanes, always scary....it only takes seconds to have your life turned upside down. Too many accidents today!
Located on passenger side of engine on the throttle body. Just a few screws, take it apart and throttle body cleaner removes the carbon on the pintle as well as the inside.
I agree with "look around". I know there are a lot of nice vettes out there around that year. I see them all the time. If the car was not taken care of and dogged then I would be very cautious. 3K is cheap but you get what you pay for. I just seen a 95 the other day, they wanted 10G for it but...
On the grounds Sam, I remember going over all that I could find. Under the hood, just go along the frame rail on each side of the car and they will come into view. Also under the car there are a few along the rail, maybe the bell housing as well....it's been a while. Not a bad idea to check...
Hey Sam,
From Hib's input about the TPS;
Just something to check is the ASR motor. It has three cables from what I can remember. On an abrupt stop many years ago one of the cables slipped because the lock didn't hold. It just might be a thing to look at since it's right on top, just remove the...
Looks like good ohm readings to me. A lag in the meter may account for the voltage fluctuation. I wouldn't worry about that too much since 12v give or take will fire the injectors. Codes next would be a good thing, post back and I'm sure someone will help diagnose your issue. Lot's of great help...
That sounds about right. It may be the meter set up on k-ohms rather then ohms and this would account for about 11 ohms on each one. How about codes Sam, did you check for any?
I agree with this, maybe calipers not working in the rear? Sounds like all the wheels aren't working to stop the car. Braking should be spot on especially with four channel ABS. I once had rotors not properly machined by a dealership and caused hard braking, always bought new ones from that...
I've read on here that one bad injector can shut down the engine. Find out what the ohms are on each injector, do a comparison. Pintle valve may need cleaning as well. I would think the only thing related to the injector pulses would be the computer.
Thanks guys,
Did get some feedback as well from Bree who sometimes has a few laying around. For now I'll use the one I have and I'll check around like suggested. The plastic cases are not made of a good material and they crack after so many years. I'll eventually find one.....thanks again for...
Hello All,
The FOB remote, does anyone have a place that repair and or replaces the plastic case. I have one that works but would like to have another in case it gives up as well. I did find someone that used to repair them, sent an e-mail and waiting for a response. Just thought I'd ask in...
Information on courtesy lights...
Some useful information on the 92-93. It helped me troubleshoot mine.
The '90-'96 Corvette courtesy lights are controlled by the CCM (cen- tral control module) located in the dash behind the radio receiver. The courtesy lights are set-up with a delay when...
I once had a similiar problem but it was more at high speed. One of the rotors on the front of the car were cut wrong. This was done at a dealership, the last time I ever took the car there. I took the rotors off the car and took it to an auto store at the time that did rotors for about $7 each...
I had a bad fuel pressure reg and it was always hard to start after the car was warm. Cold starts were no problem. This is the way mine acted. I never had an issue with it running though, just hard starts? If you suspect the FPR you would be able to smell fuel in your vac lines.
Anyone see the new C-8 pics codenamed "Emporer? Hard to tell a lot about it and the fact it's supposedly gonna be a mid engine car with electric capabilities of propelling it some 15 miles. I guess that's what their talking about. I love the latest corvette with it's sleek lines C-7) and it's...
Good for you, it's always a good choice to check the FSM as some things are not what they seem. I once took a fuse out labeled courtesy cause of a problem with a door switch and I lost my radio. Enjoy your ride!
