Sorry, but I have to ask about TIRES

Enjoy the new kicks! It's my second time going to a softer ride from the rock hard GoodYears. Not disappointed so far....gotta get her on the highway for some exercise so hopefully my performance expectations will be met. Cheers!

Sorry, but I have to ask about TIRES

Nitto's seem like a good tire. Just put on my car $800.00 OTD but haven't even ridden on them yet except coming home from the shop. My Daughter just had them put on her Lexus as well as she was a service advisor for Toyota and people there were always happy with them so I went with her...

Valve seat / Valve work info needed

143K on cast iron heads in my opinion are broken in well. I just did a few heads on another vehicle with 250K. Couldn't find a machine shop that does that kind of work except for NAPA. I decided to recondition them myself. Had some pitting on the valves themselves but followed a video on youtube...

    Won't run/start when warm

Just to be sure your pressure could read good and the regulator have a small leak when car is shut down reason for a hard start when warm...a leaking injector as stated will do the same and fuel pressure could read good as well...

    Question: courtesy lights blinking

Same here with a 93. I padded out the plastic that opens the door switch plunger just to see if that was causing the problem and it was. My interior lights would flash as well, caught it a few times. I too thought it was the timer circuit but it was just the switch not completely opening when...

Help! Newbe post. Another 1992 throwing sys, security, service asr lights.

Hey, I've been following this thread and all the while have been wanting to share my experience with you on the ECM. I recently have been battling a problem for a few years as well with another vehicle. I went the manufactured route with the PCM on this vehicle and found out it was still bad...

    Newbe Question-Overdrive or Drive?

I do the same thing. Only use OD when on the highway. I don't care for the annoying upshift, downshift all the time. I've been doing this since I owned the car for more then twenty years now so apparently it's not hard on the tranny. 87K on the clock now and I changed the tranny fluid at 60K.

    Help! 1993 Coupe Starting Problems

Definitely check fuel pressure regulator. I had the same problem with mine several years ago. When you start the car when it's warm and you see a little black smoke out the tail it's a good indication also that it's leaking causing the hard start when warm.

Procedure to lift a C4 onto Jackstands

Nice to know u can lift the whole side of the car directly below the mirrors. I have never removed the top or opened the rear hatch when lifting the car. I was surprised to see that mentioned in this thread. Anyway....nice post on the link that works.

    Help! 84 Corvette warm start

No, I'm not familiar with the cross fire injection however, my car acted that way and it wasn't the injectors. From what I understand the fuel pressure regulator adjusts intervals during which fuel injectors open and if this is not correct flooding can occur. The question asked was if anyone had...

    Help! 84 Corvette warm start

Fuel pressure regulator maybe. Check vacuum lines for either traces of fuel or strong fuel order, a sure sign of a leaking diaphragm. Easy check to start with.

    Question: Door seal leak

I had a similar problem on mine when I first got it. What I did from what I can remember is apply a thin foam like black insulation on top of the existing rubber. I used contact cement and it's still there for almost 20 years. It did do that area as you talk about. I would have replaced it but...

Help! Need an ECM Expert for a 1994 C4 near Atlanta

Pay for nothing if they can't fix it. Look around online for a reputable vette mechanic in your area. Give them the PCM back and tell them they didn't fix what caused the first one to fail.

    Smartphone and OBD scanner

Anyone using a OBD1 Bluetooth scanner for a smartphone? If so, which one? I have an OBD2 scanner for other vehicles but not for the 93 vette. Thanks!
