i ordered the headlight assembly from mid america, part #607-085. i take out the old assembly and when i lined up the new one, it didnt have the the holes for the adjustment screws. am i missing something here.

this is what i did...... i took the smallest hex key i had, wedged it between the button and knob, turned the key so the small part was under the button and lifted. it takes some practice. theres a small "c" clip in there. be careful when removing that. the spring is underneath the console.

thanx for putting my mind at ease. i thought this guy took out my car for some fun and blew a ring. smoke is pretty much gone after a few passes down the highway.

i just got new headers and mufflers installed yesterday. when i started it up, it blew dark smoke. it didnt smell like oil. however, i was wondering if the insides of new headers and mufflers burn whatever residue is left over from manufacturing. OR should i be concerned.

I drive mine 48 miles a day, 6 days a week. Wouldn't have it any other way. In Vegas, Its a crime not to be out with your top down.

Thanks guys. It all went down without a hitch. I was able to remove the plate over the knob by unscrewing the 4 screws on the leather boot. When I get the new plate putting it back together will be the true test. I was amazed by how much dirt collects in there. Thanks again.

My console plate is in need of replacement. In addition to that, I noticed the little plastic window is loose and the orange gear indicator is missing. How do I take the the shift knob off and what steps do I take in removing the console plate. I have a 94 auto convert.

Octane If you dont have a compression ratio high enough to burn higher octane fuel, you will notice no difference in performance. Higher octanes require higher heat. Low compression=low heat.
