i got under my vette just now and there is NO room for me to stick my arm. i love seeing all that styrofoam though. i read in other threads that i need to take out the back up lights in addition to the license plate to reach the lens. is this gonna take all day or an hour or so.
it was inevitable. my outer tail light went out on me. i took out the lens but it looks like i need to go in from the back to take it out. in case theres no part number on the bulb does anybody know it?
ill run my vette till no bars show and still have room for 4 gallons of gas. its been doing this for a year now so im not worried anymore. just another quirk of our fine automobiles.
its only been about 109 here in vegas but thats a little too hot for me for driving with the top down. so i turned on the ac and it blows ice cold, but it smells kinda funky. i though if i kept it on long enough it would go away. but it didnt. dont know if its been recharged and i keep it on...
thanx for the added info. your right about 94 being the first year for computer controlled shifts. i bought a hypertech programmer off ebay knowing gears were in my future. turning the fans on early is a added bonus. tell me about the first time you got on it with the new gears in. the gears are...
any set of gears (3.73) will fit in a vette (dana 36) right? i dont have to go to a corvette performance catalog. could i buy 3.73's from jegs or summit? or do i have to go to ecklers, mid america, etc?
i just got my hood and bumper painted and would like to keep it protected. my body shop guy hates the cloth bras and said i should look into the clear plastic kind. any one have this or know where to look?
put a kn air filter in my 94, week later it stumbled and sputtered. maf sensor was dirty from the oil on the filter. i never put any oil on it. i installed it right from the box. car is fast enough with stock air filter.
is a aftermarket stall converter practical for everyday driving? i heard no. i would think it would launch too hard if i was to accelertate normally from a red light. what about flooring it? i get too much tire spin already. if im wrong let me know. i was always a little confused when it came to...
yea you can. the problem is you have to be REAL consistant with your launching, ie tire spin. if your not, you wont know if the latest change you made was beneficial or not. second, i go to the track once in a blue moon. im not looking to beat on my car just to get a couple of tenths. i jusy...
oops
sorry. i forgot i was supposed to post. ok here we go. in addition to the power tuning, (fans on early, air/fuel/timing adjustments) i opted for the harder shift firmness. when it came to the shift points, i added 1 level for the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift. i thought i would play it safe. i...
hey, yeah i thought a tranny cooler will ease my mind a little bit. after my last fiasco i figured why not. as for sunday goes, i'll be at the summit racing nationals at the strip. the pits are the best part. cant wait to see them tear down those engines and hear them start it back up again.
i know our cars have one already but i know i could use a little more help, especially during these vegas summers. does any body have a brand preference? my dad likes hayden. what should i be looking out for while im doing this. oh yea, does anybody know the diameter of the metal tranny lines...
