    Corvette 350HP Oil Pan

Dave - thanks for the reply. 2 piece Main Seal. I am aware of this [Z28] pan, but I am looking for the one with the trap door, etc. - which is apparently "discontinued". Bummer! Interestingly, this is the description: Must Use 3927136 Windage tray. This pan is not baffled otherwise, exept for...

    Frame improvements?

There's a guy on the Corvette Forum (NHVETTE) that recently posted pictures of his Frame-off resto. He did some fabulous work on the frame (seam welds, gussets, jackpads, etc.) that could certainly be used as a model. You should go look - very impressive detail.

Best Technique to Raise Door Height Adjustment?

Are you sure it isn't just worn bushings? Be sure before you move the hinge positions.

    Emergency Brake

WHen it is up on the lift, the cables are tighter than when the wheels are on the ground under full weight. You need to tighten up the cable with the full weight on the rear.

    alternator wire

If the gauge of the wire is the same as or smaller than the wire from the battery to the starter, then it can go to the starter. I plan to run mine to the starter via a junction block to which I will also wire the Spal Fans.

    Wiper Door Problem.

Sounds like the vacuum relay is leaking on one side (the "up" port, if you will) and needs cleaning, rebuild or replacement. I sprayed a bunch of Silicone spray in all of mine which cleaned them out and seemed to rejuvenate the rubber. They have been working fine for two years now.

Rear End Fluid Change Help Please...

I have been running Mobil 1 Gear with GM posi additive in th rear as well as Mobil 1 in the 4 speed for about 2 years now without any problems or leaks. It definately quieted the trans down a lot also and it shifts far better than before - and no, I'm not worried about the synchros - I know how...

    Steering Column Paint

I used the same interior "dye" on my column and it worked / looked WAY better than I expected. Been almost 2 years now and it still looks like the day I sprayed it. It is just paint, after all.

    Brake pedal adjustment??

Would you please elaborate on the bold statement (no pun intended) above? My brake pedal seems "hindered" in that it doesn't always return fully (brake lights on with nobody in the car) - so now I suspect an "improperly installed" spring. Many things were installed that way..... I know I...

    Rear Differential Fluid

You need to get a suction pump at your local parts store as well as some Mobil 1 (obviously MY personal preference) and a bottle of GM Posi Additive. Then go to it! Suck the old junk out through the fil hole, and squirt the new stuff in. After you squirt about a cup of the Mobil 1 in, put the...

    Breakerless conversion

It IS working "right". As John Z stated, it is a first gen Lobe Sensor and it requires the delay by design.
