I need to replace my junk chrome Oil Pan and prefer to use the GM Corvette 350HP Unit (with trap door, windage tray, etc..).

I am having trouble finding the PART NUMBER of this pan.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Paul

My 76 had a new oil pan installed last year at the local Chevy Dealer and the part number was 465221 Pan Unit $120.56. Don't know if it's the one your looking for though. Just a standard oil pan as far as I know.

does your engine have a 1 or 2 piece rear main seal?
GM# 360450- 2 piece rear main - 5 qt pan used on corvettes to 79. has internal baffling and a left hand dipstick.
GM# 10055765 - 1 piece rear main - 5 qt pan used on 86-96 Corvettes. Has right hand dipstick.
GM# 12557558 - 1 piece - Is used on ZZ4 crate engines.

Dave - thanks for the reply. 2 piece Main Seal.

I am aware of this [Z28] pan, but I am looking for the one with the trap door, etc. - which is apparently "discontinued". Bummer!

Interestingly, this is the description:

Must Use 3927136 Windage tray. This pan is not baffled otherwise, exept for the two rails that are welded inside the pan to butt up to the windage tray. The 3927136 Windage tray will bolt directly to 1969-1985 305,307,327,350 engines.if used with 1970-1980 400 engines, the bolt holes in the tray must be elongated slightly to accomodated the larger main cap bolt spacing. Also if used on 1955-1968 265,283,307,327 engines, the bolt holes in tray must also be elongated slightly to accomodate the smaller main cap bolt spacing.

5 of the following main cap studs must be used :

1968 and older small journal blocks use 5 of 3872718 studs

1969 and newer large journal blocks use 5 of 14087508 studs

All applications also require 5 9422297 locknuts to retain the windage tray to the studs.

The sixth hole in the windage tray is retained by the oil pump bolt.
