Concur.... even when I replaced the stock exhaust manifolds with full length headers I had a heated O2 sensor tapped into the port side header near the collector.

I concur with Mikey..... but on a '68, unless it's been sitting in Jay Leno's Garage and not ever driven I would find it hard to believe after 45 yrs there are not any tiny spider webbing or hairline cracks along the segments of the fiberglass panel pieces and edges where they are seamed...
I had Flowmaster Delta 50's on mine along with full length headers and the sound was spectacular when you stomped on the gas yet very manageable when cruising around. Highly recommend these.

I saw a Remo thread active and I just figured he found a way to dial into Al Gore's Amazing Internet from the great beyond. Perhaps this was a good karma and a good moment for all of us to remember friends and family that we have all lost this year. I still feel privileged to have had the...
Thanks Paul. It'll have to wait until after Christmas since I already greased up the wife to get me a new 36 gal 175psi Air Compressor for the garage. Guess it'll have to be a Merry Christmas to me gift.
Thank Junk for the link. Long time no talk.

Mine wears her baseball cap too...... but it's her Lexus cap and not a Corvette cap. Then I have to explain all that too. hahaha :L
Thanks for all the replies.

The wife spent this summer whining about her hair and the wind in her ear while running at hwy speeds with the top down. Since It's far cheaper to look for some type of wind/air deflector than it is to replace the wife (and watch the lawyers saw my Vert in half along with the boat and all my...
15" are getting harder to find and they are not dirt cheap like they were a few years ago. If you are intent on keeping the look totally stock stay with the 15's. If not I wouldn't go much more than 17's at worse or you'll have no sidewall and add to an already tough ride. As for 15's.... I...
The heat through the floorboards is part of the ambiance of a C3. Heck, if my AC just countered the heat from the engine I was thrilled. hahahaha

That idiot has to be certifiably insane or just doesn't like Corvette's and didn't have the balls to admit it. Heck, every one of those reasons Chuck also commented on has nothing to do with a big block engine, and besides..... it's all WHY one craves for a big block Corvette. It also seems the...
The only thing I have now with real carburetors are my 1983 Dodge D150 pickup (1 bbl) and my old 1979 Suzuki 850 motorcycle (which I suppose technically has 4 - 1 bbls). hahaha just for fun I'll have to call them and see if they do motorcycle carbs too.

I can't believe it's been almost 15 years since you resurrected the L81 Registry from that guy in Arizona. His name escapes me after all these years (along with a lot of other stuff that escapes me too) hahahaha
For those that don't know, if it wasn't for Yoda and a lot of emails and effort...
Jeez Ritch... I don't think my carb looked that good the day it came off the line. That's a great price for a rebuild and a cleaning.
nut :D (ex- 81 guy)
Hey Tot..... if you pull off the rest of the emissions stuff be sure to plug the lines. And yeah.... the light will drive you nuts (excuse the expression), so I just removed the bulb and changed the O2 sensors every 2-3 yrs as a rule. Like Peers said the cat doesn't effect the dash light. Good...
Mike6880 is correct here. SPEC could mean anything from Primer only to another color that was approved. I never heard of any "SPEC" cars in a delivered color other than Primer.
Mike (KY).... MANY years ago when I talked to the original shipment dealer O'Rielly Chevrolet in Tucson, AZ, they...
No habla Tomas. :L Once you can get "Historic" plate(s) you never have to go though another emission inspection or even if the car is sold and re-registered Historic you don't even need a vehicle inspection. Now.....to get the true dual set up w/o cat(s), NO exhaust shop (could) by MD law...
