    Help! tranny not changing gears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with that, if your kit is like my TransGo 700-2 & 3 kit you had to drill holes in the valve body partitions to achieve the stick shift option. How do you plan on plugging those? Look at the instructions on page 3 of your kit, then go back and de-burr the hole drilled in step #2A...

    Blowing fuse for climate control

Unless another 87 owner posts the wiring diagrams you will need to get lucky to find the problem. I will mention Alldata which is a less expensive option than the FSM. Do it Yourself Auto Repair & Auto Repair Shops - ALLDATA Less than $30 for an annual subscription for one model year, not...

    FIC Injectors

My injectors worked fine, no misfire or poor performance. I was trying to fix longer than normal crank time after a hot soak, the new injectors did that. I used the specially modified Bosch III's Jon sells specifically for 93's.

    FIC Injectors

That SOB, I'm from Ireland and Jon told me the same thing! :mad Only joking, Jon is the best as everyone else has indicated. His customer service is over the top, buy with confidence if you are considering injector replacement.:thumb

Help! Scanner will not read computer

I'm guessing "Big O" is a local parts store and they likely tried to scan it with an OBDII scan tool. 94 & 95 Corvettes use a scan tool (ALDL) connector that appears identical to the OBDII connector used on 96 and newer cars, but 94 & 95 are in fact OBDI. There are a few inexpensive scan...

Help! Newbie-- A/C 134 back to R-12 help needed

And that is exactly the way I would do it. My 93 service manual indicates adding 1 oz. for oil in the condenser and 3 oz. for that in the evaporator, but since I don't have an 87 manual perhaps you would be kind enough to provide the correct amounts for the OP?:eyerole

Help! Newbie-- A/C 134 back to R-12 help needed

Okay, I'll be the one to disagree and attempt to answer the OP, it is after all his choice, perhaps he participates in NCRS events, or perhaps the conversion does NOT cool as well as the original? No matter, the decision is his to make. I think the minimum would be to flush the system of oil...

Help! No a/c where to start!

As Black Bart pointed out an electronic sniffer is your best bet to find a leak, but I will toss out a couple of "back yard" methods that have worked for me. Fill a spray bottle with a solution of dish detergent and water, it only takes a small amount of detergent! With engine off spray suspect...

    Emmissions related Air Injection part

The vacuum line for the air divert valve goes to a tee under the left side fuel rail cover, shown in the diagram below, your car should have the same sticker on the radiator shroud.

Couple questions on bringing a 94 Coupe back to life

I would siphon the fuel out of the tank, then dispose of it properly, hopefully your local Waste Authority has provision for hazardous waste disposal. Replace the fuel filter located along the right side frame rail just to the rear of the front wheel, most of the gas in in the lines will drain...

    Rotors?

I think you will be happy with the decision, if I recall correctly the warranty on the rotors is extended if they are installed in combination with the pads. I look forward to hearing your feedback once they are installed and I'm sure other members would as well.

    Rotors?

I have a set of these purchased from the same Ebay seller, the only difference is that mine has the larger J55 front rotors, I purchased a package that included ceramic pads. Like you I hesitated because the price seems too good to be true, but I am very happy with the product, the car stops...

    Bosch fuel injectors?

If you can be patient I will be able to give you an objective reply soon that should give you a good comparison. Like your 92 my 93 has good original multecs, but I have a set of Bosch III's on the way, the car has 78K on the clock, I will let you know my results. As others have said Jon is the...

    Help! failed smog AGAIN

You are correct, all gas analyzers available to technicians measure in PPM which is percentage and there is no formula for conversion to GPM which is a measurement by weight. Weight of emissions is proportional to engine size so if you modify your 350 by stroking for example the tune will need...

    Help! failed smog AGAIN

The IM 240 test you need to pass is one of the more difficult with a modified engine. If you have checked for codes and there are none stored the O2 sensor is probably working, but if you have a scan tool it would be a good idea to verify it is switching rich/lean. Cats can only function if...

    Vacuum line at FPR

I am not sure the diagram posted was for an 86, my purpose was to show that the vacuum supply to the FPR comes directly from the intake manifold. To the best of my knowledge that is true of all systems regardless of year or model. After some research I am more confident that this diagram is...

    Vacuum line at FPR

I would check your fuel pressure regulator. If you have a hand vacuum pump see if it will hold vacuum, if the diaphragm is bad you are pulling fuel directly into the plenum through the vacuum line.

    Need help !

You don't say if the injectors, fuel pump and filter fixed the issue? Did it run better then deteriorate or was all the work a total miss? If you have no codes to guide you I would go with your gut concerning the fuel issue but instead of putting parts on try testing the pressure first, could...
