    Cool C6 concept!!!!

That looks like it really could be close when I compare it to the spy shots. Vents, greenhouse, edgy look to the top of the roof. Of course I haven't seen the car in real life... Ross???

    [Press] C6 'Vette Schedule Revealed

My '98 has been fine, but I've heard several '97 horror stories too.

    [Press] C6 'Vette Schedule Revealed

If it looks good, will you buy one of the introductory year models. I'm scared to death of buying a first MY car from GM, still. The H2 is the latest example. Great looking, very capable cars, but poor quality control.

    [Press] C6 'Vette Schedule Revealed

Yeah, I've heard the re-design rumors too. I think it was Lutz how commanded the redesign, and that's what delayed some of the production. I don't doubt, however, that things have been hard with budgets at the General with the crappy economy and all.

    Retro C6

I think I agree with you, but take note on a couple of things. 1. They have already $H!Tcanned the Ford Thunderbird. The 2005 is the last model year for the car. After the initial surge of folks who wanted the retro car burned out, the thing has been selling at less than 50% of the expected...

Hate to Whip a Dead Horse but read the new Automobile Mag.

Free market. Hopefully it saves the car (Caddyvette :)). Very sound point. Greg

Hate to Whip a Dead Horse but read the new Automobile Mag.

Nitpicking reply Cfour- Clearly, we're on the same page. I small thing, though. I thought the the original C1 vettes shared a platform with the other Chevy cars back in th 50's. Of course the frame was chopped and bent a little bit, but it was shared with the bigger Chevys. At any rate, I...

Hate to Whip a Dead Horse but read the new Automobile Mag.

We are totally on the same page, no kidding. The point, however, is perception. If the design originally was for a Corvette (it was and is), then that is what these magazines, TV shows, etc should say. If not for perception, then simply for getting it right. Really, to me, the inaccuracy of...

Damn shame. Hope Chevrolet, GM and the automotive press have enough sense and respect to make it right. Greg

    Clutch questions

C4C5- Thanks a million. Since I first posted the question some time back I figured out the jerking and squealing. Bad gas, bad belt. At that time, the clutch was fine. However, I tried a pretty rapid launch the other day on an entrance ramp and the clutch failed pretty bad. Slipped...

    Clutch questions

Now I definitely need a new clutch. A few more questions: 1. How long have your clutches lasted? 2. If I put a Z06 clutch and flywheel on this thing, does the engine need to be balanced in a different way or anything? 3. Any more estimates on how much it should cost me? Thanks. Greg

The BG Plant Starts Re tooling for C6 on....

81LT4: Yeah, the C6 will be different looking than the C5. It will be the first redesign since the '97 model year. Browse through the "2005 C6 Forum" and I think you'll find that there's alot of passion and enthusiasm about what the thing will look like, what it will have inside, under the...

    Dunne Pix in M/T

The Dunne spy shots are all that Motor Trend was able to come up with for the issue of M/T that came out today. There is a 1.5 page blurb on it [the C6] there, and the only thing that I get out of it that is new is that the engine will be 400 hp, and that's not groundbreaking. Motor Trend...
