How many diodes did you check? Six in the bridge and three in the trio.
Here's a good write up http://www.4wheelnoffroad.com/alter.html
Have you measured the AC ripple voltage across the battey with the engine running and with a load on the Gen?
Electronics don't pay attention to the odometer and I didn't suggest you replace any more parts, I just suggested you check the diodes. Just because the output is measured as an average of 14.xx DC volts does not mean there is not an AC component riding on top of it. You can also read the AC...
Check vacuum lines elsewhere. Does the cruise work?
Also, check this thread.

I would drain all the fluid from everywhere you can into a clear container and check for metallic contamination. If the pump was run dry, the vanes in the pump would be metal to metal with little or no lubrication.
JMO.
Yep. High failure rate on that part it seems. It's under the right side fuel rail. If that part is broken, the cruise won't work either. Seems like it was about 6 bucks at the dealer so I would buy locally and save the shipping costs.
Bad battery or one with a considerable state of undercharge. If you don't know how old the battery is replace it. The summer heat may kill it completely when you least expect it.
My suggestion would be to clean up the area with some mineral spirits and first try to determine where the leak is. Is it leaking around the pump area or around the control valve or the PS cylinder? Could likely be one of the four rubber hoses, and if you find one bad I'd replace them all at the...
I do this all the time too. The mechanism doesn't actually lock, it just won't bend back past over-center without pulling the joint back. All you have to do is pull the joint back the opposite direction past the point of over-center and down it goes.
