I posted a wiring diagram for a 66 A-C c2 on the bottom of a web page at

If you look at it, you see that all pink and brown wires are powered by the key switch and are unprotected by fuses in a factory correct car.
The brown...
Last question first: Your engine (pictured) has a "stagger bolt" pattern that the Summit people call "offset". The original GM starter used two special bolts to mount to the engine block. Some GM engines use a staggered bolt pattern and some are drilled and tapped so the starter mounting bolts...
I had a similar problem and tried to reverse the wiring plug in the back of the socket - ruined the socket then discovered I had purchased a couple of bulbs that were wired backward. The manufacturer replaced the bulbs and I replaced the ruined lamp.
What color gear is in the trans, and what year is the trans?
When I had a TH400 in my car, it rubbed holes in the fiberglass floor. How did you mount it?
Add posi fluid, then drive to a parking lot. Make a right turn full loop, then a left turn full loop. If the problem doesn't go away, you may have had a shim wear/crack and drop out of the carrier.
I've see a few burned carbs, but that's a REAL patch.
Im rebuilding one for a friend that didn't grt that much damage, but the idiot that ran it without the heat shield. The exhaust corroded the throttle shaft, so Bubba then tried to remove the round throttle plates (I assume - to clean things...
It's a battery meter and it reads the voltage difference between the horn relay and the starter. Obviously the voltage difference between the two changed, probably when you fiddled with the connections on the relay or starter and cleaned them. IMO you changed the meter reading for the same...
I have an original GM black plastic ball from a 63 on my 66 and there is no parting line.
Another case of find a part that fits the JG or else. IMO no one cares what original cars look like, just what the judging standard is.
I would like to add that the ground for the birdcage is under the car at the body mount near the front of the LH rocker panel. IMO it takes a lot of crud and should be cleaned every 10 years or so, since it provides the ground for the entire cabin.
IMO the only really good thing relays do is...
Put the hood on it and it looks like the car I bought 20 years ago.

Have fun. The only thing nearly as much fun as driving an old Corvette is working on one.
I'm with 67heaven. The underside of my hood is painted body color, which makes the underside of the hood easy to clean and wax, and makes air cleaner covers unecessary. My fresh air intake ducts are body color too.
I have the opposite opinion. The old yellow has class. The new cars look like lemons. IMO silver is the only color that a c6 looks good in - mostly because of the lumpy headlamps.
Thanks Wayne - and if you plan a tour the flat cornfields of the USA drop me note so I can reciprocate. The only other reasons to come here are to see the John Deere Pavillion, and the odd chance the Hot Rod Power Tour will stop here again - unless you are a GTO fan, because Arnie 'the farmer'...
WORK?? They allow those 4 letter anglo-saxon words on the cac? Heaven forfend!
We did the loop last time on a 12 day vacation ride. If ya gotta blow your vacation all at once, the best place is the Canadian Rockies. Hike your bum off and then sit in hot sulphur pool - at Miette or at Banff...
