UPDATE on my Fried Engine Harness...

Installed the harness last night, examined and used voltmeter to check everything behind firewall and the headlight harness... Let battery charge overnight, car started up immediately, alternator charging, horns work, all electrical devices, radio, wipers, etc all work. OUT OF THE WOODS.....

Man what a relief....I am one very thankful person now...... Now got to concentrate on the transmission and rebuilt that.....

What am I going to do when I get finished.....

Glad you got her back together! Work on your Ops items - those are the "easy" 750 points, but individual failures will KILL your score in a hurry; 25 points per item pass/fail are BIG hits.

Thanks for your kind words of encouragment... One thing that came up during the judging was the original black ball for the shifter had a horizontal molding line across it....is this true? Do you have any idea where one can purchase one? You go contacts?

Check with Paragon - theirs is $13.00 and LICS gets $6.00 for theirs; don't know if that's because Paragon's has the parting line around it or not.

LICS told me they do not deal with plastic parts anymore...Paragon has the same ball with no horizonal molding seam.....Thanks for reply, maybe my treasure hunt at Carlisle will produce one...

I have an original GM black plastic ball from a 63 on my 66 and there is no parting line.

Another case of find a part that fits the JG or else. IMO no one cares what original cars look like, just what the judging standard is.
