    Need replacement frame

it seems that the previous owner had already tried to weld the frame as there are weld marks at the cracked area but it didn't hold so we are assuming without having seen the car or frame yet that it may be beyond repair and replacement is the best option

Herb the car looks GREAT! I love the stance and how low the body sits. That is going to be a mean ride you got there. :)

Hagerty Insurance Co. Turning Into Money Grubbers

Mark I don't know their reason for the difference but I can guess a possible one... A stock restored car is typically driven less and typically "babied" pretty well. In many cases as you know many cars like that are rarely driven at all unless it's to a show or the infrequent pleasure drive. A...

thanks, but "watching my back" is the least of my concerns whether it's here or anywhere else. It's other issues that there is no need to go into.

    Radiator question

Eastwood makes a specific radiator paint or else you can request that DeWitts paint it for you and they will and i don't believe their charge on that is very much.

    NCRS?

depends on what judging you would want to go for. Normal Flight judging does NOT judge on originality as is often thought of, it judges on how close the car APPEARS to be in the same condition as it would be during delivery to a customer after normal dealer prep. That means things like paint...

Do I keep it original or not ??

hi Jim long time no talk........... the answer is easy, if the frame is rusty than strip it, repair it and repaint it. Done. Rust ain't original, it developed over time and if you leave it on there you will end up with a completely original and completely destroyed frame. Unless the car is...
