    Advice on Distributor Tach Drive

I also have another option When I got the car I was also give a Mallory tach drive dual point distributor. Apparently that was the distributor that was swapped out for the current one. The distributor itself looks fine. Part #2664501. Anyone know if that can be converted to electronic?

    Advice on Distributor Tach Drive

Hello - the points in my distributor are shot. The current distributor does not have a tach drive so my mechanical tach is disconnected. It also has a vacuum advance. I am either going to covert the existing distributor with the pertronix conversion kit($80.00) and forgo the tach a while...

    Cam Change With A/C Condensor

I put a cam in my '80 without removing AC I have a 1980 L48 and was able to put a cam in. Radiator had to come out but I was able to get it in with AC loosened. You can move it around enough to get the cam in.

I hate to ask this but where is the emergency brake in a 65?

Yep - it wasn't there. Had to order a ton of parts. One part (the bracket that holds the handle/rod) isn't easily obtained. No one re-manufactures it so I had to have it located and it cost be way too much. I haven't installed it yet but at least I have the pieces. Its exactly where...

    Me and my '65

I searched for a long while before buying my C2 a little while ago. I asked a few questions here and got some solid advice which was both helpful and appreciated. I had no idea that my C2 would get sooo much attention. Hey, I knew I had a love for em but didn't realize driving one was close...

Spark plug change bring all sorts of questions!

I did indeed put in the R45S and its running fine AFTER I took a hit from the ignition. Daylight, no way I could see the spark, but I heard the tic tic tic. Figured I'd jiggle the cables to see which one and zap! :) I bought a set but I don't like em - a bit to long. So, I have to order...

Spark plug change bring all sorts of questions!

Thanks guys. I think I will lean towards safe and replace it with the same exact plug to avoid any potential problems until I can get it sorted out. The current plugs are fairly well carbonized so I have some tuning to do. I do a lot of wood working and 1/8" is a mile in that hobby, so it...

Looking for appraiser/NCRS inspector in Los Angeles

I used AAG once - http://www.autoappraisal.com. Wasn't impressed with the results. I think most people will tell you that you need a NCRS person. There are so many details that can cost you lots of money. Example, Missing parking brake mounting bracket. They don't reproduce them - at least...

Spark plug change bring all sorts of questions!

Hi all - I'm ready to do my first tune up on my '65. Easier said than done! I'm still learning this car as I've only had it for a two months. It has a 327 in it, although to be honest, I have no way of knowing for sure. I know its not the original engine so I can't check the VIN/block etc...

    vanity plates

I got it - but it does take a wee little but of thinking, as you don't get it immediately by reading it. Put it on a nice looking Vet and it should be obvious!

I hate to ask this but where is the emergency brake in a 65?

Thanks all! This is exactly what I needed. Now if I could only find the parts...I think the bracket is going to be a pain and perhaps will need to be custom made. I really appreciate the help!

I hate to ask this but where is the emergency brake in a 65?

OK! So its not so silly of a question. I now see where it SHOULD be but no sign of a handle etc (left under console). Going to have to research what I need to get that operational. Its funny because from underneath the car it looks all new and intact. Perhaps during a past restoration it was...

I hate to ask this but where is the emergency brake in a 65?

Seems like it should be obvious but I can't find a release or pull - nothing, not even a hole. I do see the steel cables underneath - looks in great shape (new). Am I missing the boat on this? I figure its probably a pretty good thing to have! I hope I'm not going to be embarrassed by...

    Holy Cow!!!

Wouldn't they have to pay some kind of commissoin to EBAY? I've never used ebay but I hear a lot of people bid up etc. Wouldn't they have to pay something to ebay on 15K if they win? Just curious how it works. I half expect some little monster vet to burst out of the top of this car and...

    Fair value of C2s?

Hey BlackVette66 - it was from GoldenClassics. The car was on consignment with them. I flew down and thought the place was pretty cool. Actually, I enjoyed the whole Tampa/Clearwater area. Apparently, a lot of the Tampa Bay Buck players buy cars there. When I was there one player pulled up...

    Fair value of C2s?

Done deal! I pulled the trigger today! Here I am in sunny Florida and the car looks awesome! It is so tight - no rattles, shakes or squeeks. It drives like its on rails. There are 3 small stone chips on the paint - one on the front passenger fender and two on the driver door. These...
