Your point is well taken. I too like to look at the rotors. The dust is driving me nuts. I might have to look at some other type of pad that is compatible for Z-51 brakes. Maybe Mr. Hiberson has some insights::)

They are slotted for cooling. I have used them for years on my other vehicles with no problems. I like the looks of the rotor too, but the brake dust is gross , even after a short drive. I still have factory pads and I hate to replace them this early. (11000miles) Wouldn't you feel a brake...

You are talking about chassis ground to engine and other primary grounds from the battery. Still learning and I thought I was thorough. Appreciate the inputs.

Thanks for clarifying. It totally slipped my mind. I have always had sticks and this one did have an automatic . The 71 I was helping on in this case. Was so caught up in the electrical, never would have thought of it.

I get it now. Shift cable in a corvette just threw me. Linkage I get it. And I agree with you fully on the rest of preventive maintenance. Some things like the speedometer cable or tach gear/cable ,I best think you leave alone until a symptom arises?? Just me. Thanks for the input.
