Do you have the optional hardtop? If so, install the hard top and adjust the door glasses to seal against the hardtop weatherstripping. Remove the hard top, raise the folding top, and adjust the weatherstripping on the folding top to seal against the door glasses. If you do not have the...

    Important! 1974 vin#. Where?

Post your VIN. Based on what you've said, it's going to be 1Z67J4S410xxx. Not sure what the "highway department" is telling you. Three more than what you posted earlier. The three missing numbers are indicated by the xxx above. Yes. 1 is the code for Corvette. 4 indicates the model year...

    Important! 1974 vin#. Where?

The stamp you see is a VIN derivitive and not a complete VIN. That explains why it is not showing up on the VIN decoder sites. You are also short three digits after the zero. Should be 14S410xxx. The J, T, and Z would be engine codes for the original engine installed in the car and would...

    '72 with a '69 engine cast number?

Yep. The 69 LT-1s are not a myth; there were two of them. Niether of these cars left St. Louis with LT-1 engines. The first was prepared by GM Tech Center in Michigan for the the long lead press review in the spring of 1969 to allow members of the automotive press to drive the car then have...

    hardtop headliner question

The C07 hardtop trim panels use the velcro fasteners and (IIRC, trim screws here and there) for attachment. These same type of velcro fasteners are used on door panels and t-top panels. If the trim panel is warped, the velcro fasteners will not hold well. For the applicable model years, the...

The stock 72 radio will fit your 69. Knobs may be different, but reproductions are available. You may want to consider a new center cluster bezel if Bubba boogered up your original. :thumb

    Help! Shifter removal/install

Automatic or 4 speed? Automatic shifters can be removed from inside the car with the exception of the shifter cable on the transmission. 4 speed shifters have to be removed from under the car. The assembly instruction manual (AIM) shows both installations. :thumb
