A Gentleman Zagger, you responded very well to the previous post. Your response is in the positive spirit of the CAC. Most of us attempt to provide helpful and meaningful assistance, but you provided exactly that in a positive tone while ignoring the sarcasm of the person who requested our...

    Ticking

Thanks for all the comments so far. To me the differentiating characteristic of this "ticking" is that it sounds like it is one (of the set of all) lifter(s), or one (of the set of all) valve(s), or one of a set of something. I can imagine -- admittedly in my ignorance -- that a part is...

In order to eliminate the problem: Eliminating the problem: 1, 2, 3, 4: This is how I eliminated the column lock problem on my '99 C5. 1.) Per GM Product Safety Policy GMP06-029-05081, variously known as Special Policy Adjustment 05081, in force until February, 2008, after which I would be...

This is how I eliminated the column lock problem on my '99 C5. 1.) Per GM Product Safety Policy GMP06-029-05081, variously known as Special Policy Adjustment 05081, in force until February, 2008, with my last lock up, I specifically detailed to the dealer that my column locked up again. They...

    Visor sticker cover-ups

A few days after I picked up my new 2007 coupe, I decided to remove those ugly, glaring, white & yellow warning stickers on MY visors. After trying for a minute, I realized that they are heated and melted on to the visor's poly-fabric to be permanent... until the law is repealed... probably...

    Micro fiber or cotton?

Does it matter that the micro fiber towels I just bought were made in China? Of course where else could they be made? Certainly not France ! ;LOL

    Micro fiber or cotton?

After checking the Care Car section, I'm posting this question here because it is straightforward and brief answers come from many with experience. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Is it better to use micro fiber or all white cotton towels to wash and dry? Thanks.

    Vibration above 65 MPH

My experiences with run flats I bought a new 1999 C5 and drove its Goodyear run flats for 35,000 miles. They were noisy. They hit tar strips and other road imperfections like they were walls, enveloping each while distorting the steering and car's direction. They had little traction in rain...

    Ticking

It sounds like it is only one injector since it occurs at what sound like only 1 tick per cylinder firing cycle. Should that injector one be replaced? And could it be something such as a crank or cam shaft position sensor or something else? Thanks.

    Ticking

A fuel injector sounds like a possible cause. The ticking occurs at about that sort of rate. Thanks.

    Keeping your Vette Clean

Hello 2002fb, Do you have a full name for Adams and maybe an Internet site for them? I just picked a new black 2007 coupe and need advice. Thanks.

    Ticking

I just picked up a new 2007 coupe MN6 and have driven 43 miles so far. This quiet ticking sound comes from the engine compartment, is regular, and increases with increasing RPM. It's not a clicking nor a hard clunking. It is a quieter ticking that is most loud from about 1000 to 2300 RPM. I...

    To PTFE or to not?

Thanks... I see that would help everyone know what I am talking about. This product is sold as "The Protector" and is marketed using a knight's shield logo.

    To PTFE or to not?

A Chevrolet dealer whom I trust sells a coating that can applied to the entire painted surface of a car. It contains PTFE, known by DuPont's trade name teflon. It is claimed that this coating inhibits bug, tree sap, acid rain, road salt, and chemical junk from sticking and damaging the paint...

My experiences As a long-time owner of several Vettes, I can say that this is one of the worst failures of GM's policy of avoidance. GM often simply avoids design, engineering, or manufacturing problems. It waits for owners and the truly dedicated and sharp mechanics such as C4C5Specialist to...

    I need HELP!

Thank goodness there is no cure and it only gets better. I have felt the same since I bought my first Vette in 1966. It was a '63 on its way to the junk yard. I saved it and it repaid me with great pleasures... and expenses. :boogie
