    '07 Intermittent Hot Start Problem

    This evening when it was about 82 degrees out, after driving for 30 minutes, I shut my '07 off for 10 minutes. The restart was weaker sounding and took longer than usual. This was with my two-week old battery that has been starting it with a solid-sounding crank not taking as long to start as...

    I agree. These cars are smooth at all speeds.

    clicking sound

    I don't know if all, or even most C6s have the clicking. After owning several Corvettes, I have trained myself to expect rattles, squeaks, parts that break, and noises. I am very pleased with this C6 in most ways because it has no rattles, or squeaks, and only minor things have been...

    clicking sound

    Does the clicking sound like it originates from the front of passenger footwell? If so, it's likely the same clicking that I have in my 2007. Other threads have identified it as a relay closing when we step on the brake and the brake lights are activated. This clicking is one of those...

    Are Z06 and NPP mufflers different construction?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I agree with each of your points. You seem to appreciate the details of exhaust sounds as much as I do. :beer Z06s sound like the sound I want for my base LS2 in tone and loudness. After hearing Z06s, I cannot estimate what aspects of their sound is attributable to the...
    Are Z06 and NPP mufflers different construction?
    I want my base C6 LS2 to sound somewhat louder and deeper in tone. Of course the LS2 is not going to sound exactly the same as an LS9 for many reasons. I am considering installing Z06 mufflers on my 2007 LS2 with NPP in a box. I think I can seal the 2 inch H pipe to the larger diameter Z06...
    door locks
    Using the DIC you can program the car to not automatically lock the doors. I had programmed mine to lock automatically until I realized that the car will lock me out if I leave the FOB inside. It is easier to press the FOB button after I get out than to try to enter my locked C6. :W
    What is a tune?
    A tune, along with some after-market parts, sounded like a relatively inexpensive and step-by-step method to enhance my C6's performance. But I needed to enhance my knowledge beyond the C3s that I had rebuilt some few decades ago. :w I wanted learn what a tune is before allowing anyone to change...
    Late to the Party
    You will -- as we all do -- really enjoy your new C6. I hope your cryptic comment alluding to "another topic" works out well for you even if it takes time. I find that when I am less than happy, a drive in my C6 improves things or, at least, makes me smile. :pat
    New Model Problems?
    New Model Problems?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you Hib. I appreciate your insightful explanation regarding differences between facts, opinions, and etc. You obviously deal with people who do not understand that words have meanings. It is reasonable for C5 and 2005 C6 owners to defend their column locks. After...

    Whoa! Fritz Henderson out as GM CEO
