    the joint is just above the seering box . Very common for them to be bad on older vehicles the rubber just goes all to hell with the heat and oils Steve

    Why won't the valves come out?

    you may need to put a block under the valve and give the retainer a tap with a hammer sometimes the old seals get stuck like glue and the keepers could also nave varnish build up on them and may need a little persuasion to break loose from the retainer :ohnoes Steve

    disconnecting the battery is the correct way to stop the battery from going dead and some people would not be comfortable doing that.With that said i use a float charger on all my cars;shrug guilty . but easier for me but not the gm endorsment Steve

    except for you personal preferances with the radio , clock and memory seats just driving it will reset all the parameters in time just drive it as you always do if you drive like a n old lady it learns that if you drive hard it also learns that;) it is your choice in the long run Steve

    the temp sensor for the ecm and the cooanlt gage are seperate units on most cars. it would be worth a scan to double check to see if it is in spec . the computer may not set a code for the coolant sensor as long as it is not totally out of wack Steve

    You could install a brake lock which would make it impossible to toe and difficult to get on a ramp truck. all you do is pump up the brakes and through a valve and it locks all the wheels . trucks use them as saftey brakes just a thought Steve
