    Magnaflow Mufflers are installed

I asked about going 2 3/4, but he said it is hard to find, and he would have to get the mandrels to bend it. I know I have lost some torque this way, but its ok. I have picked up more HP than I lost in torque, so it is a bit of a trade off. I will see about dragging my laptop out there. (how...

    Stalling and Rough Idle

Let me know when you are going to the one at John Elway. I will meet you there. Colorado Springs, maybe, it depends on when. Did you drive yours today? I made it from Arvada to the work in the Tech center without the traction system activating. :) Talk to you later.

    Magnaflow Mufflers are installed

Well, since I couldn't kill the drone, I decided to rework the exhaust to make it better. It starts with the right side cat- Taken off, 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 (what ever factory size was) exit pipe with factory crimp, removed and replaced with 3" pipe. Cat was put back, and flows better. Now it...

    Stalling and Rough Idle

I drive mine in the snow, so the only thing I am waiting for is to take the hard top off for the season. I have not joined any clubs. I went to one meeting up in Longmont (can't remember the name of the club) and I felt like I stole my dads car. So, unless you are driving with blocks on...

    Do C4's go in snow??

Madre Santa!!! :L Buen hecho. Yeah, chains don't fit Corvettes well. Good to hear you had a safe trip. It is hard to imagine two large dogs in a vette on a road trip. I pack mine pretty full just on a trip by my self! Take care. Y desfruta los mariscos!

Early VS old T/O bearing on the ZF tranny

Thanks...I will do that. I think that is my next project.

    New exhaust....complete custom

Hi all.... Ok, well after messing with the KBD 3" system that was on my vette when I got it, I took the plunge. Ok, to give a litle background- I have having problem with interior noise (resonance). I tried getting a local shop to make me an "x" pipe to replace the baffle box....not a great...

    Magnaflow Mufflers are installed

HA! A thread revival.... Redbob....on my '92 I tried the cutting out the KBD baffle box and replacing with an x-pipe(as it turns out, a poorly designed one), no help with the noise in the car.....next-balace tube on my...no luck. Well, it moved the interior noise back a little, but nothing...

    Do C4's go in snow??

On that note... First real snow since I got the Eagle M&S.....They did great. Got to the freeway with very little wheel spin at one light. (I saw the front wheel drives next to me spinning as much or more) Ran the freeway without a single slip, and pulled right through the slush and slippery...

Early VS old T/O bearing on the ZF tranny

Rob- Thanks... I will keep track of when it does it a little better. Do you think a weak clutch master cylinder might be accelerate this problem? Sometimes I have to double clutch to get it into gear. (Usually 1st and 3rd)

    Do C4's go in snow??

Get out your tape measure. Most SUV's don't have 6" of ground clearance, much less a regular cars. Yeah they look tall, but look under them. Their axels don't have much clearance. A Subaru has more ground clearance than an Explorer. A corvette is not an ideal car for the snow. I don't think...

C4 brakes - How do I do this?

Bone yards.... look on ebay for "fparts" or call them at 1-800-367-8388 Guy Sava is the person I dealt with. They part out vettes. Good people to deal with. They might be able to help.

Early VS old T/O bearing on the ZF tranny

How likely is it for a throw out bearing to go before the clutch? What would be the signs? Thanks.

    94 tire size

In fact, they are even a stock size, if you had 9.5" rims all around.

    Stalling and Rough Idle

Alohas.. Patrick- a weak fuel pump could cause low pressure, but I would they tend to fail more than just get weak. (at least the electric ones) Fuel pressure should be easy to check though (and cheap). Actually, I was wondering where you are going to take it for service? If you see a white...

    Stalling and Rough Idle

Curiosity, where are you taking it? How cold is it outside when this is happening? Low fuel pressure, maybe. Air idle control sticking? (ok..thats my guess... next?.. anyone?)

    Do C4's go in snow??

Had a little black ice up here the other day...Eagle M&S did well up the hill out of my neighborhood. As long as you did not punch the throttle, no problems. Then again, any car would have trouble if you punch the throttle on black ice. Remo- As stated by several people, some of us only have...

    "Corvette" brake calipers

Yes, you can run the GS-CE calipers and not change wheels on your '96. All the factory 17" rims will clear them they say. The $250 was for a factory setup. I have the contact info at home. I will send it to you tonight. I bought the cross drilled rotors from someone else (ebay), but I think...
