    problems with active handling

Just had this happen today!! Called for service appointment. After reading about the brakes locking it makes me nervous because I just made a 2000 mile trip and drove at 90 mph most of the way. Before I traded in my 2004, I asked the service advisor here about which model gave the most...

    Active Handling Message

Just traded my 2004 for a 2005 convertible. Just returned from a 2000 mile roadtrip to NM, drove top down thru the mountains. What a great car. Anyway, today I have a message that the active handling needs service. This car only has 6,000 miles, and I am wondering if this is a code that can...

    C-6 VS. C-5

Vetdog, thanks for the return. I have checked the specs, but just drove one and it just seemed a tighter fit and not as roomy. However, I like the body style and the increase in HP.

    C-6 VS. C-5

Would like some advice owners have that have owned a C-5 and now own a C-6. I looked at a 2007 and am considering trading up. Somehow the car seems narrower inside. I know it is shorter and has more HP, but are there any problems anyone has had. Thanks for the help.

Cross country road trip--6500 miles later; back home

Sounds like a great trip. My wife and I went to Las Vegas in November and were going to take the vet, but time being what it was, we flew. We now both wished we had drove. As for your ticket, it is very common in Oklahoma to have locals patrol the interstates giving tickets. Several of these...

Winter is Almost Over, List your Winter Mods!

Gosh, sorry for everyone up north. We drive em here every day. Hard to put them in the shop and fix them up. However, spent time at the dealership today looking at new models. Spring is in the air.

    Glass Top

I have ordered a glass top for my car from West Cost Corvettes, and was wondering if anyone ordered anything from them and had any problems. It seems that the top is on back order. Anyone else have one and where did you get it. Thanks

How old is the "average" C6 buyer?

I guess thats why I didn't trade. It was not the color I really wanted, but the price and options with only 7000 miles had me hooked. However, I decided to wait and find the right car. By the way, this one was red also, hard to resist.

How old is the "average" C6 buyer?

I have a 2004 coupe and I was thinking about trading for a C-6. I test drove a 2005 and 2006 this week and still can't part with the 2004. Maybe someone can convince me to move on. Being in the largest age group for C-6 owners, maybe I am getting dementia.

    I need advice in purchasing a C-5

Hey guys, just moved up in classes from C-2. I purchased my 2004 this summer after having owned several c-2's. I have been stuck in the mid 60's, however, one drive in a C-5, I was hooked. Boy what an awsome machine. However, I may move to a C-6 this summer. Good luck with the search.

Sometimes you just get lucky (OT)

Great news!!! I wouldn't be so lucky. However, it is great to know that you can get such great royalties, now where is my tuba. Mike

    Street cars of the '60's

I also never saw a Cobra on the street. However, there were plenty of bad Nova's, Z-28s, Chevelles, Hemi-Roadrunners and Vets. I will never forget the doctor down the street driving a 67 yellow big block with black stinger and side exhaust by the house on his way to a from work. Man, I still...

True Confessions...or...How I Got the Driver's Door Open

OK 67 Heaven, I'll bite, how did you get the door open!!! Don't leave us hanging out here wondering. At the rate my luck has been going lately, I'll probably get locked in the car and not be able to open either one. Mike

    Another Jumper

Welcome Great to see another jumper. I also would like to see C1 & C2 combined. My interests are in both areas and also I don't want to miss any vintage posts. I really do not like to have to check out both listings, I guess I'm getting lazy. Mike

The CCC Does A Full Front Suspension and Brakes Today

CCC (Work for beer) Enjoy the pictures of your work and fun while doing it. Really would like to move to the mountains and have the CCC's to fix some of my problems while I go to the store for beer. Not a very good wrench, but excellent at buying beer and cooking on the grill. Someday, I...

Gotta say, "Thank you" to all you guys.

67 Heaven & Mac: Have only just recently noticed your movement to CAC and hope that this will liven up this site. Also CCC/s and others that I see here. I have a partial picture of your movement, but not the whole trip. But, I am with you guys and want to let you know that in the long run...

    64 Coupe

I have a 64 coupe that I am trying to find some previous owner information. It was purchased from the Vette Shop in Belleville, IL in 1989. Wondering if anyone in that area knows the shop or if it is still in business. Also, anyone know how to contact Illinois Dept of Motor Vehicle. Any help...
