Florida
I just drove my 02 to Ft Lauderdale last week and flew home.
The traffic is worse than I-95 in New York and the agressive drivers
are your worst fear.
All the kids drive those rice burners and race like the movie "Two fast too furious". Watch all your sides. Near W.palm beach I was in...
Pound it on
I had to pound the socket onto the lug with a hammer, carefully apply torque counterclockwise ( if it slips pound it on harder ) then pry/pound the lug out of the socket. Good luck, Don
Lifts
I checked several lifts before I bought mine. It came down to two brands,
"Mohawk and "Forward" I chose a "Forward" four post lift.
Installed costs were $4028.00 US
Anybody got an easy way to remove the one "special" wheel lug nut. The lug nut key for my 2002 coupe is missing. Thanks Don
Disregard I found that a 20 MM 12 point socket works just fine to remove the
special lug nuts. I replaced them with standard Corvette Lugs.
Gas Milage
No I am using the average MPG.
On a recent trip from Mystic, CT to the Corvette factory in Bowling Green
the running average for the 2100 mile trip was 31.8 MPG.
We thought that the computer was off so we checked the milage manually (Miles devided by gallons = MPG) and found the...
My 2000 Cpe with a six speed and 35,000 miles gets between 27 and 31.8 MPH at 70-75 mph. The engine turns about 1500 - 1600 at these speeds.
My newer 2002 Cpe with an automatic transmission and 3,500 miles only can
muster 24.6 at best going 70-75 mph. I see that the engine turns about
1900 to...
CD Wiring Harness
Thanks for the help. One more question. I have seen some talk that if a CD player/radio is installed the CD changer in the rear won't work. It only will work if a cassette/radio is installed in the car. I was looking at part number
GM 12495746 on GMParts.com. It stated that...
Wiring Harness
Ken do you know how the harness routes? Does it have to go directly to the radio or does it plug in somewhere near the passengers feet ?.
Do you have to pull up all the floor covering to route the harness Thanks, Don
Does a 2002 C5 coupe w/o a CD changer in the rear have the wiring harness
already installed from the radio (which has a CD slot) to the rear compartment under the floor. If it does where is it stored in the rear.
I want to add a 12 CD changer but do not want to buy the wiring harness if I don't...
