Do all the alternators in Texas fail in 12-15k miles? I would not stand for that if it was my car, maybe that is just me though.

The first item to come to mind for this sympton would be loss of fuel. Fuel pump relay, wiring etc. Ignition coil going south intermittently is extremely rare

the person that paid salvage price and sold it as non salvage is guilty. a mistake by the state does not absolve them of fraud. sorry.. :-(

I am assuming you use a torque wrench when you tighten them. If you have fairly new alloy wheels you will find this condition too. A good rule of thumb is to re-torque the wheels after 200 miles.

my wheel has a few cracks on top but the black was dull and beginning to wear off. As a last ditch effort a couple of years ago, I used Kiwi liquid shoe polish.... Looks good !!! I washed it thoughly first and let it dry.. try it :_rock

Actually I have never been burned. I have seen alot and still do everyday in this business. I learned believe nothing when there are red flags up.

You don't specifically say where you and the car are... unless I missed it. You should have been suspicious with such a low price. You will lose everything once the car is determined to be a stolen one. I bet that is what it is. Somehow it is difficult to feel sorry for anyone paying peanuts...

It is difficult to say this but, you may have a vin pasted on your car from another car. The dealer sticker can be doctored up too. It is easier to sell a car like this where you are than in the USA. The vin is also several other places on the car that sometimes are not changed by the...
