I had mine redone a few years ago(450.00)
I did have a another I got from a local parts house.you might want to check with someone local other than auto zone of advance auto.or thry one of the corvette parts suppliers.
good luck.
There was a fellow in CT that used to rebuild them.
I believe his name was Gary Rinaldi(?) I think he was in New Haven.
He was very good at rebuilding some of those components.
Unfortunately, our ECM's are 40 years old and extremely primitive in today's world.they were the first computers used to control a few functions in the engine.
Good luck with your changes!!
Hey!Andre how have you been? I have rebuilt mine.Eg,new brushes and diode trio.I used toothpicks to hold the brushes back uncheaper and til I reassembled the case.I thought it was much less expensive than a reman, plus its the alt.that it was built with.not to mention the satisfaction of doing it...
my 2019 High Country has one integrated into the tail gate handle as well as the bumper sensors. They do a good job of letting know when something is there if you dont .
I found mine and I cant believe where they put it!!
take a lite, look in front of the passenger side wiper.that's where the plug is located.
its a dumb place to look for it!!!!:hb:hb
I have an '81 and they have them.I keep a long thin screwdriver next to the drivers seat just in case.
unless some one has done body work in that area I don't understand why they wouldn't be there.
