Question: 1979 - Early vs Late

This is off-topic but one difference between the early and late 79 would be the shape of the turn signal lever. The early 79 is bent while the late 79 turn signal lever is straight. The speedometer is different as well. The late 79 only goes to 85mph.

:( My '74 Big Block on Ebay

Even at $8155, that's still a nice vette for that price. I paid more for my 79 3 years ago.

    New tire problem

I have new tires installed and to me it wouldn't make sense to down grade because of a little rub every once in a while. Thanks 73shark for the pics...

:( My '74 Big Block on Ebay

Geez, I love that '74. Family is much more important. I hope you get what you deserve for your vette. I have four teenage girls. YES, four teenage girls. Talk about trying times right now. But, it's all worth it.

    17" wheels

Really? That's great. Something for me to think about sometime.

    17" wheels

And, the larger the wheel the more weight so you will lose some performance in getting her moving but you do gain handling performance...

    New tires

Yes, that tire should fit without major complications. I have new tires installed with a seldom rub here and there...

    Sway Bar?

Actually, I did do my research. My rear custom sway bar fits. I have an original rear sway bar as well. The directions that came with the rear sway bar said that I should be able to turn the spacers by hand on the end links which to me were to lose so I tightened them. The car feels different so...

Is there an easy puke tank installation for valve covers?

Overkill and ugly IMHO but as long as your happy that's all that matters. Does it have a wire mesh inside to capture the oil fumes, etc.?

    Temperature guage not accurate

I went through several as well doing my build but actually found one that was really close. Guess I got lucky...

    Sway Bar?

No, the rear sway bar is custom. I'm going to experiment with it some this weekend. It takes a little more adjustments to keep the car center when steering. She seems to handle nice around turns though.

Is there an easy puke tank installation for valve covers?

You could always just Google "Oil Catch Can".

    4 Cylinder Corvette

Reads like Junkie is all over it. I'm curious to hear what you find. Couldn't you just look down the carb to see if you have fuel on one side but not the other?

Is there an easy puke tank installation for valve covers?

I would re-install the pcv setup at the very least and then possibly install a oil catch can.

Is there an easy puke tank installation for valve covers?

Are you referring to an oil catch can? If so, I have a small one installed in-line with my PCV. Works great. By the way, that thing is hideous looking!
