As you've probably already found out, 82 and 84 were the only crossfire engine Corvette put out. I would suggest buying the GM 1984 Service Manual.

There are many for sale. I would go to Craigslist to get an idea of what's out there and asking price. C4 Corvettes are sssooo fun and inexpensive to buy in great shape. Paint is getting so expensive it's hard to sell anything that needs paint and try to get a reasonable price for it.
I can...

It would be a good idea to get a GM Service Manual as a...
There is a small wire that plugs into the traction control unit below the alternator on the radiator side. You can access that connection from the passenger side. Like anything on these C6's, it's cramped. Unplug the small wire. Use Electronic Cleaner and spray both ends of that connection. MAKE...
I agree!
I found tons of C5's for sale when I was looking about a month ago. The buyer is absolutely in control right now.

I would pick up a Chilton or Haynes type repair manual before you proceed. They have helpful instructions on many repairs for your car.
Please be careful. We don't want to hear about you loosing your brakes on your maiden voyage!

The OP just wants to stop a small snapping noise from worn link bushings. At the same time this inexpensive replacement would give him much better handling. I don't think his intent was to do a big changeover...
Yeah the picture was there and I saw that, but it amazes me how many people that are selling their Corvette do not put one of the most important options...Automatic or Standard.
I've seen ads where the seller actually goes as far as hiding the brake petal so we can't see whether it's an auto...

Can you give us the kit number and where you got it. I think you're misreading the directions.
DON'T take the stock sensor or disconnect it. It is tied to the ECM (computer) and effects more than just the fan.
I believe the kit you have is a supplemental sensor that ONLY turns the fan...
cut and paste...the red being my comments.
It's so annoying to me that somebody could be so misinformed and yet still think they are so smart???
(Oh wait, the news media does that all the time don't they?) :L;LOL:rotfl

But even that has nothing to do with a big block. They all roast you out of the car. Maybe the Big Block has a slight edge, but I've owned a bunch of the C3's and they ALL have that.
