No, friend of a friend, that lost interest I guess...tune-up, computer, cleaned up and here ya go..love fixing up Corvette's that sit around not appreciated..:D
Well I have a deal pending on a C4 to go w/ my C5...1990 coupe, black, ZF 6-speed with a recent clutch, needs detailing, general clean-up, good tires, heat, guages work, 80lbs oil pressure at start-up, 115k miles...all for $3450.00...no pics yet...:D
Dont let the first year C5 1997 scare you off, I dont think they have the oil burning or tranny seal leaking issues that the later C5's have....also my interior is still solid, and the leather is still as good as a newer one, but then again I'm biased towards my car......:D
I have a set of chrome tips, great shape no rust or pitting, selling because I bought B&B system......$65.00 shipped to 48 states only, Money order preferred, email j91vette@sigecom.net
Hib, do it please, when I had my C4, the 101 projects book...was helpful to me, and a C5 book similiar would work for guys like me that can work on them...I'm not talented enuff for engine work, but many of us can do basics I think, like exhaust, air filter mods etc. Also I just bought my C5 Nov...
Bill, I dont think tinting below the dots, would work because the rest of the glass would be miss-matched. My shop has done at least 30 of my cars over the years, a lot of the C5's here has this area of the car not looking too good, my tint guy has done a bunch of c5's and he said this is common...
Some people light sand the dots, I didnt, the area there is hazy, just a little, the rest of the glass is perfect, it doesnt look bad enuff to me to re-do it, I can live with it............no plans yet on cruise....
