    Its alive!!

I drove the car to work on Friday, up to the very foggy beach on Saturday and then had to put it away for the storm! Looks like next weekend she might be back out to play. Still the vacuum issue with the lights but the electrical problem has been solved so no more dead batteries for me! Oh and...

Hi Everyone, its been a long time

Hi Elaine! That is the one event I have always wanted to attend. Once again, not in the stars. Even with my new optima battery something isn't quite right. Me thinks its electrical in nature, so hopefully will get it to be looked at soon. I am thinking it might be related to the original alarm...

Hi Everyone, its been a long time

Bought an extra original air cleaner on ebay and hubby painted it and cut it up. I like the look so much better - seems less clunky.

Hi Everyone, its been a long time

and an even longer time since I have driven my car!! Well finally the engine is back out (after 500 miles on the new 383 Stroker) something was going on with it and after inspecting it I am still not entirely sure what is wrong, but are putting a new camshaft in it. There is some electrical...

    Electrical issues

Thanks all! We did figure out one issue, the alternator!! So the nice chrome alternator with less than 300 miles on it is not working right. The good news is that there is a guy up the street who works on alternators and he will get it done pretty quick. I hope so, still a few car shows I want...

    Electrical issues

The only problem with that is that I would lose all the memory on the ECM not to mention the radio presets. It actually has one and I stopped using it because of the ECM.

    Need some opinions please

I have an after market speedometer in my 82 :-) With new engine, tranny, new rear end, interior and everything else new on the car I think I have about 8 - 10k invested (and that is parts my husband did all the labor!) and I paid 6k for it. Having an old car is like having a child without the...

    Electrical issues

Hi All, Something is drawing current off the car. We have ruled out interior issues and are thinking something has to be killing the battery. If not constantly on the battery after a 2-3 weeks the battery is dead. Any inherent issues you can think of? I did buy a battery tender but was...

So my car is probably mostly done( except paint and bodywork)

Thank you all for your input and kindness. Since I dont' have a car payment I can wait a bit I guess. I did contact the local voc school to see if they want to use it as a body shop project. It can't really look any worse than it does paint wise. They told me the instructors are gone and to...

So my car is probably mostly done( except paint and bodywork)

and so it seems my 3 year marriage. So do I keep the car or not? My husband is the expert mechanic and master painter, what am I going to do with the car now??? If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have changed a thing and now that I did I doubt its going to get finished. so there goes 10-15k I...

    need help with the '82

I thought the car was all set and then we put in a new optima battery and now it won't start. I thought we at some point had replaced the fuel pump. Not sure if its fuel related or ECM. they checked the fuses. The Vette has no fuel coming from the injectors when cranking. Husbands friend is...
