Would like to trade my 91 ZF6 for a 91 A4
I tried this once before, without much success, but not being one to give up, I'm trying it again. I love this Vette, but my arthritic knees are getting the best of me, and it is getting increasingly hard for me to drive this beast. This is a great car...
I have for sale a Ed Wright Stage II Fastchip for a 1991 6 speed.
It has EGR Delete, and fan set to come on @210. The chip is less than a month old. I decided to put my OEM exhaust back together, and no longer need it. All BS aside....I did notice a slight increase in performance, but it was not...
I can get the OEM DMF from Carolina Clutch for $685. It'll be about a grand for the complete clutch/flywheel setup.
Was also told that I could convert to a single mass flywheel, and a clutch setup with the sound dampener in the pressure plate for around $750.
The only drawback to the second...
I'm getting ready to put a new clutch in my 91, as it's starting to get a little weak. I've read on a few other boards, that when most of these guys replace the clutch, it's almost mandatory to replace the flywheel too.
My question is WHY? I would think that the OEM steel flywheel would be...
Until the advent of the C5 Z06, the 84 Corvette with the Z51 handling package was the BEST handling Corvette EVER produced. If you could stand the gut wrenching ride of the 84 Z51, then you had a car that would outmaneuver virtually anything on wheels, including some of the most exotic European...
Ok guys, I really didn't think it would come to this, but I gotta get outa this car. Everything that I drive, from my work vehicle, to my pickup, to my Vette has a manual tranny, and I'm just sick and tired of shifting, period. There are no issues with this 91, and in fact, on a 10 scale, it's a...
I'll never own another selective ride car. I had a 98 Coupe with it, and when one of the shocks went bad, I decided to replace all of them. Over $1600 for 4 shocks was a real eye opener.:crazy
You need the full tank of gas to prevent condensation from forming. Fill it up, just as full as you can get it. 6 or 7 months isn't that long of a time for a car to sit. Next spring, dump a can or 2 of Heet in it before you start it, and you shouldn't have any problems. You'll propably want to...
Personally, I likethe 91 for two reasons.
1. I prefer the L98 over the LT1, and the General just about made the L98 as perfect as he could for 1991.
2. The 91 has the late model C4 bodystyle.
Best of both worlds!:upthumbs
Actually, 33MPG is VERY doable with a C5. Good friend of mine has an 02 Z06, and gets anywhere between 32 and 34 MPG religeously if he drives conservatively, and uses the cruise. Heck, I averaged 29.4 with my 91, on a 3000 mile trip this spring, driving responsibly, and using my cruise. Just...
