Was just wondering what your times were. I havent ever tried, but it would be interesting to see where we sit. The only published time I could find was 0-60 in 7.2 at 15.4. This was a 4 speed tested by Car And Driver.

Was the 3:07 ratio an option in 81 for an automatic? In looking at my owners manual it shows the2:87 standard, but the 3:07 as an option for the auto. Am I reading this correctly? Maybe this is the G92 RPO code referenced in the Black Book?

If anyone has changed theirs from stock please post up what you installed. I dont know if there is much to be gained by changing. Thanks.

I was noticing there were three different part numbers for our cars carb. 17081217 - Manual trans. 17081218 - Auto trans, Calif. emissions. 17081228 - Auto trans. Does anyone know the difference between the three, and would you feel anything swapping between them?

Mine seems to almost have to reach operating temp. before it runs/idles cleanly. Is this normal? Seems almost to have to go to closed loop to run well. After its warmed up the car runs great.

I have mine set at 12 degrees, might bump it to 14 to see if I notice any change. What are you all running at ? Might add I do have the computer up and running in mine.

Was wondering if computer PROMS are available fot the 81? Have seen the Hypertech ones but never the stock ones. Anyone know if they are available?

Seems to take mine a bit to warm up and run well. Once warm it runs great. Even after adjusting the choke it still takes time. How does yours run? Can you just start it and go or is this a condition of a carburated car?

What will I need to set up the carb? I have a dwell meter but the manual shows other tools needed to make adjustments. I think a Co. called Thexton made them, but I dont know exactly what I need. Thanks in advance.

Recently I noticed my left side seal was leaking a bit. I am going to remove the diff. and replace with a new one. Has anyone done the removal themselves and how difficult was it? I have a feeling this may be some work. Thanks.

I was told there was a fuse as part of the lockup control of the converter. I dont see any reference to where it is in my manuals. Does this fuse exist? Thanks in advance for your help.
