Yes, it is Elkhart blue, Can you post up a shot of your 66? this color seems to appear different in almost every picture I take. Depends on the lighting.:beer
Dim lights usually indicate a ground problem. I would temporarily connect a ground wire to the cluster and see if they brighten. If so then you will need the wiring diagrams to see where the ground source is for the small gauges.
I personally think that color is awesome. Not seen to often and every other one you see is red. I think you made the right choice, I did not like Elkhart Blue either when I painted mine. It will grow on you, I LIKE it.:cool!:
Well, you are all missing the point here. I don't know what the hell the wire is either. But the original post said to name this wire, so I am calling it Bill:D
Hey Jack, I see your route comes through Eugene Or, I am only 11 miles from there. I will try to keep track of you so I can tell when you are in the area.
When I had my body off I built some 2x4 supports that bolted to the fenders and then back to the dolly. I could see that it had sagged a lot in just a little time. I was worried I would crack my fenders and new paint as well.:beer
The front fenders will sag down. Just pull upward until they align and stick the bolt in. one person on each side is better, Go slow and easy. Also did you record the body mount shims and replace the same as it came apart? I believe the left side of the radiator support on these should have...
Code 42 can set because the main shaft in the distributor becomes magnetized. you will never get rid of the code unless you either replace the distributor or the shaft. Code 42 does not always have symptoms associated with it. I own and operate a auto repair shop and I would replace the...
This is exactly whats wrong, My car did the same thing, I simply put a washer under the cushion to bring the front of the differential down slightly. Worked on mine. Good luck
I might also add that removing the thermostat causes the electric cooling fan to not come on properly because the sensor doesn't heat up enough to turn it on. Therefore adding to the overheating problem.
Pleasure to meet you as well, PS my wife is a blondie also lol. Enjoy your cars whatever they may be. I Love all classics as well as the unusual cars. If blondie ever gets tired of that old leaker, let me know, sure I could find room for a few more drips in my shop.
Your leak sounds different than mine. Mine only drips, leaves a spot about the size of a half dollar before i notice it. I store it on a lift so I usually just throw down a Pig mat to soak it up. Finally I get tired of it and lower the car and start it. Then its fine.I really think mine leaks...
Funny thing is I dont have to actually drive mine I can just shift it into gear and it will stop leaking. Seems like the pump picking up the fluid and filling the converter back up should do it. I'm surprised you actually have to drive yours.
