You stated that these are GM Wagonwheels??? If so, they did have some issues with porous alloy in some of the wheels. Might be the problem...

The 2005 C6 has the exact same column lock as the 2004 C5. WITH all of the same issues. A good battery that meets or exceeds the factory rating is the best way to avoid this problem.

What error message, the car does not sense runflat/non-runflat. What it does sense is tire pressure.

I just had my '18 Colorado Z71 in the shop for this condition. It's the Torque Converter Clutch slipping. They changed to a different transmission fluid and flushed the system. 500 miles later it's still good.
