Yes it very interesting. Internet is a great thing. I have learned a lot while restoring my 74 Z28 camaro and 87 Iroc Z28... also gathering parts is easy with internet and e bay ;)
infact you dont need to remove lock panel. There are holes in the panel, both mid and top position you can access to the 10mm bolts that holds the glass.:beer
Its my pleasure to help people.
the one in the driver side a little PITA. Maybe you may need to remove some parts in order to acess or some swivel sockets works for you.
Oh yes its under the coil wire ( opti end of wire) ...
this is the water pump gasket yousee the 3 holes for bolts. the two un and down for the long bolts. the one is for short bolt ( its behinde the accessories bracket (driver side), passenger side is again hidden bottom of coil and ign module.
Hey Dennis,
Mark the present aligment, once it loosed hard to re align. Its not a two man job but patience needed.
My glasses are aftermarket i have been working on proper aligment for 4 days :(
But with the original parts you should be fine. Just take your time...
I would start with checking the electrical connectors and ground terminals ( you have mentioned that you have replaced the oil pan )
starting and dying witin a moment, seems like security / electrical problem to me...
Dana 36 and Dana 44 had different size shaft and C beam...
I have re- drill my C beam and shortened/balanced driveshaft on lathe.
Since we have overdrive transmissoin I think the gear ratio is not a big problem in highway use. :beer

Personally, I would refurbish and keep the sawblades. Even if ZR! wheels were the oems for LT1s and if the sawblades were the aftermarket ones, i would buy sawblades for sure :beer
I did mine in last summer. i have totally apart both front and rear suspension. Removing the old ones are little painfull, you may need a torch to burn some rubber.
I used total kit by ebay ( www.neverenoughauto.com) search for their ebay shop, it was very cheap even for international...
Thanks for the replies,
I live in overseas and its hard to find parts here, also shipping kills :(
My Oem one is missing. All I could find is the early style. But I ll check e bay to catch an OEM one.
I had a 1996 very similar to yours.
1. 1996 is the 1st year for OBD2, all 95 and earlier engine harnesses are useless for your year.
2. I have the 1996 vette wiring diagrams on cd ( bought from e bay for 1$ ) if you let me know your email address I can send the PDF files as attachments.
3. as...
