Because I don't have a lot of free time, I have to work on it when I have time.
I finally got that SOB out. Not as hard as I had feared. If I had to do it again, it would take 1/2 the time. Probably a 2 hour job now that I know how to do it.
It's not easy, simply because working in tight...
I agree..... I had a recent conversation with someone who was talking about "supercars"....ya know the exotics. I mentioned the ZR1 as being right there with them. They all laughed.
Sure you can put the specs down point for point, but at the end of the day, people don't perceive it for...
That's good to hear. It really is an amazing car out of the showroom, I guess I'd like to see more Viper/GT than minivan.
I was simply responding to the common thread of some of the comments mentioned in this section about what people want to see in the new C7. What people want in the next...
That is my point. The C6 will run circles around the GT, but when it comes to capturing the spirit, and people's imagination I think Chevy is missing it. As the customers of these cars, perhaps we shouldn't be asking for cup holders and more center console room, but more "business"...
Perhaps my point was poorly made. The Corvette is right there, toe to toe, with all the worlds super cars, exotics, performance wise. Where it misses, and I love the Corvettes, but it is the Rodney Dangerfield of "super cars"...
I think some of that comes from all the things I listed above...
And you're getting about 1/2 that value.
I have been reading this section and have come to the conclusion that there are some common threads throughout the section.
1. That kids aren't interested in the corvette
2. That the corvette isn't an every day car
3. that the average corvette owner is...
I do a ton of work for WORLD. ON other forums I post as John@BMP. If you want a specific build, to a specific HP number, we have over 10,000 engines we built and I can give you a spec on that to get you to your number. I just don't have it at my fingertips right how.
Here's our site: World...
I've been doing aftermarket performance for too long, I have to remember some of this..:D
When I said "adjusted correctly" I really should have said "no interference". It was late, I was tired. I have seen cases where something interfered with the TPS restricting it from going all the way...
Make sure it's adjusted correctly and opening all the way up. What ECU do you have? The newer ones, 90+ auto calibrate the TPS, so even if low should work.
Yellow is signal, purple is ground. Why do you want a ratio adapter anyway? Just buy the trans gears and change them. No screwing with wiring. Done. How often do you change gear ratios that this will be an issue?
The older C4s, 89 back, wire the sensor directly to the days. I used the...
OH geeze, I guess the car was built around it. The instructions above say take out the seats, etc...
Sure, it's a piece of cake, once you disassemble 1/2 the car.
It's kinda like I tell my wife about shortcuts..... It's much faster once I get there....
There's a local corvette shop that...
Got the car running GREAT. I decided to try out a HOLLEY EFI system. EXCELLENT SYSTEM. I absolutely love the product. Works great. Easy to set up and tune, and does autotune on top.
So now that I have that installed, everything working as it should....
The trans shift cable breaks. I have the...
There's something I didn't know!
Hey, can you post some info on this I'd be really interested in adapting this to my 1990.
What distributor do I need and which spark plug wires? Would there be more to the conversion? Maybe a coil?
I think this is a great idea, practical and functional...
