Drained fuel system, checked for contamimantion, none found. Added fresh fuel and the same results. Runs for 3 seconds and then dies. Will not start everytime, just when it wants to.
there is a 4 wire harness on the back side of the dist. that goes from the ignition module to a connector within 12 -14 inches of the dist. was that the one for your problem? I put a 12 volt load test on mine and it tested fine.
thanks for the info, glad to hear you are up and running. Now to check my fuel pump for a bad ground. Mine has been driving me. not too sure where yet! but maybe a simple fix is is store.
The tool if is like my 86 Vette is hollow torx.
Standard procedure. check fuel pressure at rail and see if the guage dops off when you turn
off the key. Slow bleed or fast. Clamp return line, test pressure at rail, then change clamp to supply side and see if pressure holds.
Possibly a bad ground connection there are several of them from just behind the headlights to under the motor. Check the manual for their location. Take the ground wire off and clean them.
