Any suggestions on a good header/exhaust/muffler combo for my '74? Main concern is that the headers wont clear something, and finding a good pre bent set of pipes. I'd like 2 1/2 inch all the way back if they will fit. Comments please!

I'm going to be doing some engine work this fall, mostly top end stuff, with heads, cam, intake, carb, etc.....and thought this would be a perfect time to eliminate the points and go with an HEI electronic ignition....but i'm a little unsure about the wiring that will be involved in this swap...

the circut breaker should be inboard of the power brake booster...it has 2 wires coming off two small posts...

Oh, ok, i see....i dunno, i replaced both of those, they are brand new...i think i have a vacuum problem somewhere else up stream....my power brake booster is acting funny, i think i may be losing alot of vacuum in there for some reason...time for more trobule shooting!....

I've heard of the same problem on a newer car that someone had changed brakes on...they had let the caliper hang from the rubber line while changing the pads....this caused the rubber line to collapse inside and had similar symptoms as your problem...i'd bet a rubber line has collapsed...

Will doing things like removing the covers on over the control arms, maybe even taking the insulation off the top of the hood help to disapate the heat at all? I mean, all that heat is not good for making horsepower!..

Just wanted to say that after putting on all new hoses, headlight actuators, and vacuum relays, the headlights on my '74 work FANTASTIC!...maybe better than the day it came off the line!...Make sure to check out Full Throttle Corvette parts...This guy had all my headlight parts for prices way...
