    '86 rear bushings help

    Quick reply The last time I had it on the lift for oil change, etc., I did check all U joints, did find a little play in the rear gear. However, this clunk comes in once the driveline is under a load, it feels line something is banging against something solid. I'll find it, thanks all for now.

    I've got a pretty good "clunk" when I take off and every time I stop and take off again. I'm thinking a bushing someplace is worn. I do have access to a lift and tools. Now, how tough of a job is it to replace all the rubber bushings in the rear suspension? I figure I might as well replace...

    Question: Mirror removal

    Getting ready to repaint my '86. I have taken off the door panel, removed the two nuts holding the mirror, but not enough slack in the power cable. How do i unplug this cable from the mirror to completely remove it for refinishing? Thanks for any help.

    First post, sure didn't want to come on this way. I have suddenly developed a problem with my '86. First, the AC stopped working, worked the night before, next morning, nothing, screen is dead. OK, next, the cooling fan stops, replaced the relay, nothing. Next the under hood lights go out...
