I have SW headers on my 91 L-98 383. Nice product. I buffed mine out before I put them on. They heat color fast and since you can only get to a couple of the tubes to repolish them, I wouldn't go to the trouble if I had it to do over.;)
I think you're correct, there is a difference in the number of degrees the adjuster shaft rotates between the two and the number of different step positions commanded by the controller.
My FX-3 was in the Service Ride Control mode for a long time. The default setting seemed to be on the Stiffest Setting. Resetting the code isn't going to help because the FX3 does a self test every time you start the car and when it detects a fault, the light comes on. After I replaced the...

This is the thread I was involved in in early Dec.
here you go with the troubleshooting procedure:
To clear FX3 codes, turn the ignition to Run but don't start the car. With a small paperclip, jump pins A and C on the ALDL...
Gordon Killebrew has a little kit that is sold through MAD for about $39 with several shorting clips for various subsystems on the C-4 that plugs into the ALDL plug under the steering wheel. I borrowed one from his at the 2005 MAD FunFest to diagnose my FX-3. You plug in the clip to the ALDL...
You have to pay shipping but Diabolical Dave in Columbia MO has a deal where he will overhaul you Vette engine at cost.

this is several of the posts we had on this subject in another forum:
Alcohol must be a good oxidizer. I had a load of E85, 85% ehtanol 15%gasoline in my multifuel 03 Suburban and it had super low emissionswhen tested. When I had my 91 tested I had a little less than a half tank and added...
I asked Gordon Killebrew about this at FunFest and he said the ECM does it all and gives it all it can take until the antiknock sensor input rolls it back. Setting it above the 6 deg like I did on mine at 10 seems to give it a little intial jump but the ECM takes over after that.
I guess I should add that after I had the Cross Frame for awhile, I added a Camber Brace and an S/T Frame (roll bar) because I wanted to get every inch of the performance in the Z-07 package when I autocross. With everything I've added, its as stiff as a tuning fork now and really handles very...
I installed a Cross Frame under my Z-07 coupe and it made a dramatic improvement in shake reduction. Only notice cowl shake if I cross a big discontinuity in the road surface.
FX-3 Finally Fixed on my Z-07
My FX-3 has had the Service Ride Control advisory on the telepanel ever since I bought my Vette over 2 yrs ago. Chevy dealer said rt frnt shock was bad and I replaced it and problem remained. Well I went to Gordon Killebrews workshop at the MidAmerica's FunFest...
In the last week on the Corvette Forum we have had a thread going on this very subject. I once asked Gordon Killebrew about these and he said he thought there were several automatic Z-07's not just one. Z-07 Freak is the keeper of the count on the 91 Z-07 automatics and we have documented 4 so...
You'll get another Vette Someday, eh. If its nice hang onto it. I sold my 3 yr old 67 Stingray in 1970 and my airplane to get our family car. It was 2002 before I got another one, still havent gotten an airplane. Someday never comes sometimes......
I just logged onto Grudy's website and filled in the free quote page and got the following quote. Location is a variable, I am located just west of St. Louis, Mo. I didn't have a problem, looks like insuring my Vette could be relatively dirt cheap.... :confused The only caveat I can tell...
