I removed the brown wire on the 9 pin connector. Radio did not power up and it DID NOT blow the Rad BAtt fuse. So do you believe it is the control head unit itself?

    Stereo/Cig lighter wiring problem

The GPS plugs into the Cig lighter. I am thinking about going out and testing the continuity of the wires going into the radio and see if I can't find a dead short. I will keep checking back to see if you come up with anything else.

I looked and am not sure which fuse that woud be. I believe it is the LH CTSY 20 amp fuse. Is that the correct...

I just got done doing what ecss recommended and it still blew the fuse. His post states if the fuse still blows after unhooking the red wire it is the CDM that is faulty. So my question is: Does the repplacement CDM need to be the same model number as the original? I located a couple but the...

    Stereo/Cig lighter wiring problem

I removed the stereo today and nobody in this town can hook it up to check the radio. So I put in a new fuse with no radio installed and turn on the ignition, the fuse did not blow which leads me to believe that the radio has given up the ghost. Time to try and find another factory Bose radio I...
